horrible change and i really hope even if this isnt reverted completely we can get a toggle, such a bizzare change to make after years of getting used to one way

I love the new change as the previous way made me really motion sick trying to position the camera. My brain just seems to orient up/down left/right with the monitor. That being said, a toggle would be ideal for this since it's very subjective to the person.
im also of the opinion that regardless you are going to have to turn your head to adjust the shot how you would like, and no amount of changing the controls is going to make that less awkward. the old way it worked was intuitive, especially as a controller player. now i find myself getting lost, with no understanding of how to correct where i need to be to get the shot i want. it makes me not very keen to gpose, if im being honest. i feel like a toggle for the old setting v the new setting would be a really nice compromise
I posted about this in the UI subforum as soon as it was announced. It's absolutely intuitive to have the controls tilt with the camera, especially when holding a controller. It's very likely that the person taking screenshots has tilted their head to look at the screen, so tilting the controls keeps that in synch.
It should certainly be a toggle between the two control modes, but it isn't a universal improvement to just change how it works.
I'm finding the new controls much more intuitive for taking pictures in landscape orientation at anything other than a 0 degree angle. Previously, it was finicky to adjust the camera's pan or tilt after already rolling the camera even 10 degrees. At least now, the controls are seamless with the view.
That being said, when taking portraits it's a lot easier to tilt one's head than one's monitor, so adding a toggle to switch controls (but not the view) between landscape and portrait would be helpful.
I know it's wishful thinking but I wish they made it so you don't have to tilt your head in the first place. Neck pain is a real issue if you spend too much time taking portrait screenshots XD
I'm bumping this thread to state again that I would rather have this as a toggle despite it working perfectly well for myself with the current settings.
Please please PLEASE add a toggle. I've gposed for years on controller and now the tilt is next to impossible to use. Why would they not add a toggle for something that's been the same way for--what, at least 8 years or so?
PLEASE add a toggle - when I saw the function being introduced in the patch notes, I was under the impression it was something that could, at least, be toggled off if it wasn't to my liking (it's not). But it being the go-to, forced default after years is not it.
For those using keyboard & mouse, this unfortunately doesn't help with mouse movement orientation at all--but, after searching for advice, I found some help in making keybinds like this. It's still pretty awkward, but a slight improvement nonetheless...
I would still really, really like a toggle back for the old option.
Probably because none of the devs actually bothered to check what the new setting feels like in Gpose.
