    Believe me it hasn't. I share some similar sentiments with the JP that Bloodcoil should at least heal flat rates rather than be compromised due to slamming into a ward or mitigation bonus. Yes yes, all part of a potential skill ceiling argument, but really... devs, compare it with other jobs pls. Compare that and compare that to what it can put out and how it puts out. Is it justifiable? Don't think so. It's still not where it needs to be gameplay-wise. Personal opinion, yes, but don't think it's an isolated one.

    And also personally... I miss the Slither attack boosts to spike Uncoiled up to something considerable. Even under LB debuff it still doesn't win out against just spamming your normal reawakened buttons with these higher potencies (Uncoiled's two ogcds I mean). In the old build the former was actually the higher output, so why mess with that? Those two hits were pretty damn strong too, and with less button mashing. As for it being counterintuitive to use a gapcloser to boost a ranged skill, well... to that I say look at current MNK.

    At the risk of hijacking I'll be quiet now though.

    AST needs its dash taken away. There's almost no risk for a couple of astros to zip in, dump their AOEs then zip back out.

    My guess is some reduction in the amount of CC would make tanking fun and relevant again. The nerf to AST's heavy application has helped, but in choke points in particular you're only tanking in the sense your death delays that of the team-mate behind you.

    The only way to destroy an AST is to stun them and one tap kill them under a GCD, which is something you'll only see in LP custom games. And generally the AST will not expose themselves like that anyway. We're speaking about dealing above 60k damage (or more since mitigation is a thing) under a GCD else the AST will zap away instantly.
    Last time I had a funny moment, AST popped macrocosmos and managed to completely negate a SMN LB with a... regular cooldown ability. Interesting job for sure.

    Tanks are doing great in the current meta, at least the ones not broken: PLD and GNB. Especially GNB. Almost as aggravating as AST, can tank forever, will deal as much damage as a MCH/SMN in some post game boards...

    Just chase the Astro down and kill them. I’ve seen it done many times in ranked PvP. They aren’t nearly as invincible as they were. They can go down fast. Their dash doesn’t help them if they get railroaded lol.

    If the other team is equally competent and skilled, they'll probably have killed or neutralized twice the amount of players from your side before you actually get the kill. People often imagine that just chasing means a free kill, but they always forget that the enemy team isn't twiddling their thumbs when you do so. A decent AST player can just play cat and mouse after having baited you behind their lines for a while, especially with all that healing, and gravity to just laugh at you when you're all trying to get at them and dying one by one.

    the thing is, even if they dont die, people arent mentioning the value of bullying. Sure, you may not pad your kill count, but keeping an AST on the defensive by just annoying the hell out of them definitely gives your team the upper hand. Used to love doing that on MNK.

    SAM will always be a decent counter against any job that tends to accidentally clip them with AoEs.
