    List of 7.1 PvP Change Grievances

    First of all, the bugs:

    - Reaper's Perfectio ignoring invulnerabilities
    - Astro's Macrocosmos somehow becoming a party-wide cooldown
    - Purify occasionally just decides to not work
    - Some of the new VFX bugging through terrain

    The questionable balancing decisions:
    - Astro has been buffed into the stratosphere
    - Monk has been gutted and relegated to throwing fireballs
    - Increasing Reaper's LB cooldown in Frontlines but for some reason giving Dancer accelerated charge and lower cooldown
    - What the hell even happened to Black Mage?
    - There's all types of new crowd control.. and they decide to nerf Purify's duration? Okay then I guess..
    - Someone thought Assasinating on Ninja through Guard and then LB'ing them was fine? (I speak as a Ninja main but even this is more bullcrap than Im used to)

    The loss of class identity:
    - My beloved Red Mage
    - GNB Junction

    THE INCREDIBLY JANKY ANIMATION LOCK
    (You know how when try to weave oGCDs between GCDS and some oGCDS get lost and act as if they didnt get pressed?)
    - How did it become even worse than before? Spamming recup or trying to purify in an intense situation is impossible because a ghost eats 50% of your actions

    THE INCREDIBLY JANKY ACTION TIMINGS
    - Why the hell, does Guard, the reactive protection tool, have a delay of 1 to 2 seconds? They made it more of a reactive tool because of all the new Guard-piercing actions but make it harder to react to things?!
    - Tying every single effect of an action to it's animations , whilst it makes sense I guess, turns gameplay into wading through a mudfield. Did they playtest this at all, and did the devs actually enjoy it?
    - THE HIT REGISTRATION THAT TAKES 3 BUSINESS DAYS (Hyosho Ranyuu went from 0.6 seconds to 1.9 seconds to register damage. WHY.)
    - This leads to actions that give CC effects being inconsistent as heck, such as Sam binds now being so delayed that you can just walk away from the followup. It's like they saw Viper as their best designed PVP kit ever and decided to make it like that.

    WHY is DAMAGE REGISTRATION tied to something animators thought looked cool like two years ago???? They wanted to make it more consistent and only made it consistently crap across all classes. Thanks monkey's paw!

    I'll give one to them, I actually really enjoy the new actions and the fact that the meta in fls is moving away from drk, but I really do not want to see the 4 AST stack meta. Honestly, I'm fine with everything else, my number one grievance is the hit registration and the animation lock, those two things together hit me like a truck on day one. I understand if they don't change the hit registration but

    FIX THE GOD DAMN ANIMATION LOCKS.

    Agreed on everything, especially hit detection. When they said some skills would get their damage/effect registration tweaked I was expecting stuff like Primal Rend and Purgation, not the entire PvP kit feeling like you're playing on dial-up internet

    Other than the gameplay issue, what makes it feel even worse is that phantom rush ain't like a slow, giant haymaker where it'd make sense visually for the damage to take long to arrive. You're riddling the target with punches and kicks for the whole animation, but they only feel it at the very last hit?

    Main BLM since season1 , and i think blm are very dull right now , the old version are a lot better.

    - have to cast a lot to do dmg similiar to other class that just spam instant skill.
    - only heavy 75% and deepfreeze every LB isnt enough.
    - feel like blm couldnt help team that much unlike the previous version.

    Hope they tune blm a littlebit more.

    I know nobody is going to cry any tears for SAM, and its not exactly my main or anything

    but it seriously feels like wading through quicksand to use any abilities, and actually finishing the melee cast on anything that's not already stunned or bound by another player is the most inconsistent, infuriating experience i've ever had in pvp -- all that for mediocre damage payoff.

    I think they were trying to make SAM "more of a bruiser than just a Zantetsuken bot" but honestly it feels like the rest of SAM's kit is just there to provoke people into hitting you for zan, instead of doing anything substantial

    speaking of MNK

    I don't understand why flint's reply has 2 charges and is not an ogcd or have any added effects it does not feel good to use it because when you slap flint's reply the main 123 combo is stopped

    it feels like no thought was put into it.

    if the skill that does only 6k is not an ogcd maybe it should be a self sustain.... or a dmg buff, a stun, an attack that goes through guard, or finisher like smite or something... take xenoglosy for example an OGCD for BLM
    when you have over 50% hp it does 12k flat but under 50% hp it does 6k and heals you at 200%

    I'm not knowledgeable enough but I really feel there are issues with MNK and in pvp flint's reply is one of the big ones lol

    So was the class nerfed because it was not weak before 7.1?

    Thanks to FatCatEnjoyer for summarizing the issues so comprehensively. We may have our differences on such topics as whether farting llamas are amusing, but I suspect the entire FL community can rally behind that excellent post.

    Not sure why, but it feels like the people that designed 6.1 PVP actions were replaced by the main job designers. A lot of flavor was removed from jobs such as RDM's light/dark, or MCH's wildfire now needing 5 hits so you really need to pair it with the double hit that grats overheat to get all shots in, and suddenly several jobs gets basic buff abilities. It almost feels like every single job is becoming more burst focused, kinda like in PVE.
