    Dungeon thoughts/new combat expectations

So I'm just curious to see what everyones thoughts were on the dungeon as a whole mechanically now that we are gonna start seeing "More advanced mechanics"

I thought it was alright, but was really hoping for a bit more with the third boss and leading up to it.

I really wish that the swirling tempest at the end would periodically throw rocks at the path to damage the party/enemies like it does to get rid of the first pull barrier.

and for the fight, was kind of sad that the boss diddn't jump down into the hole and we had to chase it down there to get a new arena or something.

I dunno, just a few thoughts i had and was expecting once I saw the big maelstrom and big hole in the floor /shrug

it was neat, I enjoyed it
definitely surprised me the first time I ran it because I had been revived onto the middle right as it got destroyed
wasn't expecting the arena to change like that

so far I have enjoyed all of the new fights, with the Arcadion likely being my favorite setting

Aesthetically, the dungeon is fantastic. I loved the Resident Evil vibes you get from it. As for the bosses, I quite liked the 2nd and final boss. I thought they were fun. Second boss I'll admit will probably become a breeze once people (like myself) learn you can't really disrespect the radius attack. His HP is really low it seems.

3rd boss is probably my new favorite dungeon boss. Really fun to fight, I like the arena shift. Having to run around the arena to avoid the AOEs but being careful not to slip into the pit and resisting the urge to gap close is fun. I imagine he is going to give a fair portion of players a lot of trouble. I've only ran the dungeon twice now but both instances I've had to carry as PLD when the healer drops. I've gotten a lot of Cover and Hallowed Ground use out of the dungeon.

I have to say the Dawntrail dungeons really are a breathe of fresh air, I hope they continue to mess around with the difficulty of them. I'm hoping they're shake up the 2 pack - wall - 2 pack - boss formula but I can tolerate that if the bosses themselves are fun.

Its a breathe of fresh air compared to latest expansions which is just nothing but. There is a big bad evil you must defeat cause you are the MC. and after one run you understand everything in teh dungeon and can jsut turn your brain off. I like how DT amps up how they change the formula despite how so many casual players are complaining how hard casual content is in DT

Mechanically I love it, all the new dungeons have given me something to enjoy in DT when it comes to mechs. All three of the new bosses gave me a pleasant surprise in one way or another but I really loved that last boss.

I will say that the effects on the first boss make me feel not great though.

Dungeon bosses in Dawntrail have been great! And I'm glad Field Station continues this trend. Now if they can just figure out what to do with trash. Just bulldozing though groups of enemies between bosses all the time is getting stale. I want to fight more mechanically diverse trash. I stand by that the bullet hell hallway from Puppet's bunker might be the best "trash pull" in the game, and would like to see more creative uses of dungeon trash like it.

I love the arena of the last boss, at its core the boss is just a toned down Proto-Carby who spent too long hanging out with Ruby Weapon, but the moment it shatters the arena into a ring with instadeath in the center, it gains some serious spice.

I also like instances with a "death" drop at the end cuz I can leave the instance through the menu after jumping down and it looks like I disappeared after the drop, it's the sole reason Bismark is a bearable fight to get on Roulette, and we have one here.

I liked the second phase of the last boss had you running around the circumference of the arena. A little more interesting than usual.

Using Shukuchi is a bad idea in the second phase of the last Boss. I'd tried it yesterday and teleported right into the big hole.
