And the WoL takes a hit for someone in the tank one from the sleep relic and gets put to sleep. Plus we've been disabled by technology or magic before. Someone may not be able to stand toe-to-toe in a physical fight, but we can be outsmarted. Especially if someone wanted to take advantage of our penchant for running in first and thinking later.

That part they did address. It has limited range. They show that when they show how the rrnoeek that wanders near the tracks is herded away but the rroneek not to far away aren't affected.

What I am most worried about with the whole "key" stuff and hints they've dropped so far, is 8.0 is going to be another "visit a new shard" patch when we still have plenty of map to uncover here in Eorzea. Now, don't get me wrong, I loved Shadowbringers and the new lands we got, but I don't want this to be a crutch they keep falling back to.

They're also nearly out of shards. The First and Thirteenth have been covered(unless they want to do time skips showing their recovery), the Ninth is apparently a lifeless hellscape now that the remains of Alexandria have been grafted to the Source, and 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, and 12 have all been Rejoined.

It's not really a crutch, the shards are legitimate places in the FFXIV universe. They are in essence unexplored areas of the map.

It's completely lazy, when we have plenty of places in Eorzea to still discover.

    So, we have 3, 11 and 14 left. There's patch 8.0, 9.0 and 10.0.

If we go shardhopping all willy nilly and dedicate an expansion to something similar it'll also take away from the impact shadowbringers had. Shard travel was supposed to be a big arc for Y'shtola but they kinda ruined that with just throwing us a mcguffing that'll solve it for us.

No, they didn't. The predator's roar was shown to disturb the buffalo so much that they changed their entire habit and wandering cycle. They're using the same sound to keep them away from the track. It doesn't matter that it's low range, it's putting the same fear in them.

The sooner I see Hildibrand, the better.
DT MSQ has been a literary disappointment, like someone gave us the cold leftovers to the magnificent feast that went on without us. And we've been here since the start.
But I never really seem disappointed with Hildibrand. We can only wait to see how the story moves off from DT (and hopefully away from Wuk Lamat).
