I’m legitimately upset about what happened to the Design Contest Weapons.
Maybe it’s the salt talking, but these weapons should have been Gold Saucer prizes, easily accessible to anyone that took the time to earn their winnings in Godbert’s House of Enjoyment.
But no, someone decided to make the boneheaded choice to lock some of the best designed joke weapons to date behind treasure maps, only obtainable to those willing to either spend hours praying to RNGsus for a chance to get them, or willing to fork out a small fortune on the marked board!
This feels malicious!
And while I still have lots of respect for the game staff, and won’t stop me from trying to get my hands on them regardless, I hope whoever made this choice Stubbs their toe on the bed frame in the morning.

Look what they did to the Neon-Lights , they are locked behind Retainer Ventures with an abysmal low drop rate too, one light costs 5 million + on my server.

FR I really dont care about the weapons I hate silly weapon but you are right not only it fit Gold Saucer but also would bring new rewards to the gold saucer because I been there since Shadowbringer and beside a few things here and there no new weapon

Making them locked behind treasure maps keeps them rare. For many people, it isn't about just how it "looks" but also how rare it is. Lots of people use "less aesthetically pleasing" mounts because of the rarity.

Now, if the coffer was untradeable, it would be even better - since for some players, it is only about how much gil you are willing to part with by buying it on the MB.

treasure maps were completely useless and had no good rewards up to 7.1
I'm very happy that they added those. The coffers also drop in room 4 and maybe even 3, so they are not that hard to get. I have seen a few drop within 30 maps
the maps are also easy duo-able, so you can just run them with a friend, until you get 2 coffers

I would have preferred them in PVP just so i have something to spend my crystals on but I don't mind them going into maps especially since they a bunch of stuff to maps.
