    Tsubame alternate animation for Tendo Setsugekka is pretty cool so I'd like more

    What I like about the Ogi Namikiri -> Kaeshi: Namikiri and this new Tendo Setsugekka -> Tendo Kaeshi Setsugekka is the differing animations that compliment each other feel like a combo. I'd like to see this change applied to the normal Tsubame attacks and the AoE variants.

    I don't like it now, I liked it how it was. They took a beautiful animation for a powerful attack that had 3 slashes (3 sen), 1 more slash than Midare, and reduced it to a third of what it was. It is so underwhelming for the huge level 100 finishing move. Unfortunate. I can agree in the sense of Namikiri feeling as a combo because Kaeshi: Namikiri has complimentary animation, but this Tendo Kaeshi Setsugekka is a reduced version of Tendo Setsugekka and it does not even come close in comparison to Kaeshi: Namikiri. Sad, really. I was excited reading about this in the patch notes, but I'm really disappointed with this change. Who asked for this? I hope they don't make any of the other Kaeshi moves worse.

    The reason I like Tendo Tsubame is the wind up charge before the 1 slash that has 3 effects go off at once which feels more impactful to me. However, I do have a complaint about the spinning sheathe at the end looking way too exaggerated compared to the spinning sheathe from Kaeshi: Namikiri.

    I wholeheartedly agree with this. When I saw the note about the change to the animation of Tendo Kaeshi Setsugekka, I was thinking something along the lines of a mirror effect or some sort of other visual enhancement of the original Tendo Setsugekka (like the one for Ogi Namikiri you mentioned), so I was very excited to see it (even though I honestly liked the original Tendo Kaeshi Setsugekka animation, since it basically operated just like it's predecessor, Midare Setsugekka, which made sense since it's effectively an upgrade to that skill). That said, to see it reduced to something with a notable initial animation delay (which none of the other Kaeshi attacks have) is annoying. It also now visually messes with me during my opener, as I'm used to seeing immediate action upon pressing Tendo Kaeshi Setsugekka, right before jumping into my next Meikyo, and now it briefly looks like it didn't go off when I pressed it. Likewise, though, I hope they don't make the other Kaeshi animations worse. And I'd really prefer that, if they don't yet know exactly what to do to make it look nicer/better/cooler (which is how this change looks), they just put it back the way it was.

    The other thing in comparison to Kaeshi: Namikiri is that you have to use it after Ogi or else you lose it if you use another weaponskill. (Tendo) Kaeshi Setsugekka can now be, and often is held to open the minute bursts, so it doesn't fit aesthetically in that scenario at all.

    "Tsubame-gaeshi Repeats the previously executed iaijutsu." Well, now it does not (visually).

    The spin sheath part of it should be removed. Otherwise I rather like the discount Lionheart slash.

    It's cool looking but I feel like there was a communication issue somewhere? I thought they were remaking the animation because the first cast's animation started getting cut off after the recast change, but instead they kept that animation as is and replaced the tsubame animation instead? Why? The first animation still gets slightly cut off every cast. What was the point of this change?

    I agree the first cast animation being cut off is still bad. In the first place when they were initially designing it, the full animation should've been as fast as normal Midare so it can be fast, flashy and impactful. I'm sure they could think of plenty of attack animations that work well like that. But they instead opted for a slower animation and as a poor band-aid fix they slowed the GCD for it which was highly likely to get backlash and inevitably force them to revert the GCD.

    the tendo kaeshi setsugekka change is terrible. the new vfx/animation/sound effect have no sense of impact and i frequently found myself checking my bars during content to make sure that the ability actually went off because it's all too easily drowned out with everything else going on.
