I guess I didn't say it clearly. I was wondering if it has been said anywhere that they will be removing those restrictions? Before Dawntrail I could travel where I wanted as there weren't any restrictions.

It will ease as the patch hype goes down. There will be more capacity to travel again as we enter the gap between patches. You can also try to travel at other times of the day if you're able, when less people are playing.

Another option you could try is traveling to a world other than Balmung. It might let you world visit to Balmung still after that.

If it doesn't, you can still form a party with your friend on the other Crystal world. You can communicate by adding eachother as friends, forming a private PF with a password, creating a cross-world linkshell to chat in, or them world visiting to play with you in open world content.
