    I've got some news for you but its not a "heavy" melee class in frontlines. Monk is too squishy to stay in melee range for an extended period of time and monk's generic melee combo is awful. Monk's kit is literally designed to blow groups up with fire's reply and then thunderclap in to finish people off with smite or a pressure point combo. If you want to stay in melee range spamming 1 and praying that riddle of earth's laggy heal will somehow save you then I say thanks for the free 4/8 battle high I'm about to get from you.

    If you are asking for pre 7.1 monk back I hope you understand that monk used to be arguably the worst job in frontlines and would immediately return to that position.

    If you want a "heavy" melee job in frontlines then play a tank or viper.

    Unless you've been talking about monk in CC but you can totally still play monk in melee range in CC lol.

    As a frontline player, I much prefer the unique class identity of pre 7.1 monk as the only job centered around its main combo. I don't think it was close to being the worst job in frontlines - hardest maybe? Good monks in NA were averaging 8-12 kills a game, sometimes with over 2m damage, on a job that also excels at disrupting the best player on other teams.

    In the current patch, that playstyle would be more difficult to pull off with current additional actions, but I think that could easily be remedied by giving it more frontline damage reduction much like viper's -60%.
