I've been a female Highlander for years and use many of the same options you do. Other than a lip texture choice I'd like them to change I think the devs did a fantastic job. It is absolutely an improvement.

To look at these images and say "they look NOTHING like the character that went through MSQ and other content" is either incredibly dishonest or insane. There are very subtle differences but it's those differences that make them look like upgraded versions of the same character model. Without those changes, the character would not be upgraded. Expecting the game keep its 2010 graphics forever because you personally can't deal with minute change is selfish IMO.

They sure managed to update several other character models without managing to change the overall 3D model. Why not in this case as well?

I hope that ya'll will continue to see good changes. My partner plays Highlander and was not happy with some of the results of the update, so I hope they'll continue to look into getting the shapes of the facial features right.

I’ll just ignore the “incredibly dishonest or insane” part, as there’s a 200-page thread with before and after images proving the contrary. Some people have an eye for details, others don’t.

In the end, it’s essentially art. If you can draw a perfect circle in one medium, you should be able to do so in another. Many of the changes people are detailing have to do with the actual shapes of facial features being changed, and that’s more “artistic license” than an upgrade. And honestly, if the “upgrade” can’t properly render shapes as well as the old version, it’s either user error or not much of an upgrade at all.

Even with the side by sides I honestly cannot tell the difference. Anyway there are probably mods for that
