The Nier Raids exist as overworld instances that you can walk through. At least, the first and second one do. ARR, HW, SB, EW, and now DT don't.Huh, I wasn't aware that Explorer Mode excluded Alliance Raids, but then I admit I've never used it.
Seems like such a huge waste given that they have the biggest locations to actually explore, and some of them would be desired sightseeing for fans of the games they're based on (like Final Fantasy Tactics, Nier, and now Final Fantasy 11).
Yes please! This raid brought back loads of nostalgic memories of 2002-2008ish. Anyone from Seraph? The Jeuno raid was so much fun, so much attention to detail and a dream come true for an old FFXI player. So thank you FFXIV dev team for that.
I would really like to see this alliance raid (and the older ones of course) be added to Explorer Mode so we can explore Jeuno, the Bohyada Tree and Sky and take lots of screenshots.
I would appreciate lots of likes so this topic could gain some attention. Thanks everyone.
. . .teleport holla, 1,000g please invite me
Those melancholy nights in lower Jeuno. . .

they could do like they did with the two first nier raid that allow you to enter after it is done but for all raid because even endwalker have some nice place or have a time show for some dungeon(last of 6.0)
That one was a nice surprise, especially that it's a shared hub and not just a solo instance, hopefully it gets expanded with the later alliance raids.
Since the party finder won't let you queue into an alliance raid without at least one person in each of the three parties, I suspect there's something in its coding that likewise makes it impossible to go in there by yourself.
Same for PVP maps – I'd love to explore those.
Surprisingly I hadn't considered that. Though I wonder if it's a way to ensure certain mechanics can be resolved, like the Ivalice water canals needing each alliance to interact to unlock the path.
Explorer mode for all Alliance Raids would be so lovely to be implemented, and if really not possible, giving the other alliances an equivalent to the Nier Overworld Map would be a next step help to allow Some exploration and gpose sposts
Most likely the environmental mechanics would already be completed, the way they are in regular dungeons in Explorer mode. Things like the falling boulders in places like Mt Gulg or the Heroes' Gauntlet, or the sky at the end of the Dead Ends.
I tried to do exactly this shortly after finishing the questline and was surprised to see you couldn't enter via explorer mode. It's pretty disappointing, but you can use your Return spell once the raid is over to go back to the start if you really want to look around, though that's definitely a lot more inconvenient of a process.
Before sub forum privileges goes away I'll bump it lol. Idk why we have to do it the long way.
Been hoping they would add this feature for a long time because I use to love exploring the Ivalice raids and taking pictures. It's such a chore to sync or unsync run them if all you want is to take pictures, and not having the explorer mode options like the striking dummy, mounts and minions limits the options too.
