Yup! Totally not meant to boost pure whites/jet blacks sales from mogstation.
Totally not~ I swear!![]()
I miss the days where i would go to the wolves den and there would be a new minion/hairstyle to buy.
I guess they're like lets just put it all behind the new series and call everything else a day..
"Outside obvious jokes/sarcasm, I aim to convey my words to the future readers who may come across mine posts. Can I change -your- mind, somehow? Potentially... but that's not why I'm writing. You and I have wrote our piece(s). We don't necessarily need to change each other's mind. But we can change other's."
At this point I have very little expectations despite all the nice ideas the community comes up with. I would love to have them at least take a look and aknowledge that there's plenty of feedback, even if they don't follow through with everything.Should add the dye to the plate, although honestly dyes should have been permanent unlocks... :/
That consumable money was too good to pass up I imagine.
I've long wanted PvP statted gear, we used to have it a long time ago and then they removed it >.<;
Definitely a lot of things they could do with our tokens... Like each new armor set comes with a progression chain, for better stats, new dye channels, and unlock-able effects (fiery, glowly, etc). Feed the gear in a sort of relic interface and it can morph properties, including cosmetics. Imo it should be competitive, but with the same approximate component of time that the other gear has (so it doesn't replace). Perhaps this can be represented by PvP materia, with new effects like double sprint in town, faster out of combat regeneration, double strength materia that connects it's neighbor slot with the restriction that it can't be a stat materia (so you can put something else there but not another stat), heirloom materia that causes the gear's level requirement to drop, extra experience where armoury experience applies, etc. If these ideas play out, be sure to add them to normal content (but continue to allow PvP purchasing of them, can make them untradeable for the market defining ones if needed).
Maybe 20 wolf collars can unlock a previous PvP series track.
Each new weapon set, make the SFX available for purchase and apply as a sixth materia
No, FOMO- so imo at some point ALL rewards will cycle back (some point being key thought, more unique stuff can be held onto longer AND top X gear will have the signed "top X" on those items). IMO, top X should get you the gear for low effort, then the next season / roll out they add shop unlocks that players can use tokens to gain access to expanded store selections (to then buy that lol, probably broken up by either role or DoW / DoM). Could make it have a FFXII license board appearance too (and so getting TOP X unlocks many licenses at once), add some mounts and stuff in there too cause why not. Can add to the boards / new boards if they want later. You can use EXP for some of the progression, like a license board or a GW2 progression track, and certain nodes can be cost + exp (like any of the TOP X).
Add a way to exchange the marks to other currencies as a final token dump (like it might not be the most amazing ratio but you could dump marks into the current end game tomestone).
Just fixing the FOMO issues for more casual players and putting something, anything as the actual chase item(s) for the more hardcore would be a really nice.
I agree with this.
Although, for a lot of us, that would still mean nothing new to purchase...
At least they added glamour sets so now there is a bit of an incentive to purchase more of the glams...
Except the glamour sets are a completely half baked solution. Cant even dye the items individually in the dresser, meaning you burn through more dyes. And doing that does not even make the glamour classless (I tried that with a late allagan PVP armor), so you can't even circumvent glamour restrictions. All it does is reduce the amount of space items hold in your dresser at the cost of losing a set bit of dye.
RIP Viper 28/06/2024 - 30/07/2024. It was a fun month.
I think it's a case of Hanlon's Razor.
"Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."
There would've been much simpler solutions if they wanted to nickel and dime us, like never allowing you to save dyes to items in the dresser at all.
Very true.Except the glamour sets are a completely half baked solution. Cant even dye the items individually in the dresser, meaning you burn through more dyes. And doing that does not even make the glamour classless (I tried that with a late allagan PVP armor), so you can't even circumvent glamour restrictions. I guess we can only hope they do a massive rework on dyes in 7.2.
As I said in another thread, we should "just" have a dye log at this point and dyes should be unlockables rather than consumables.
Then we can just apply whichever dye we have unlocked whenever we want without having to stack some of the rarest ones for some outfit we might just use for a couple weeks/months. etc.
It could probably destroy the dye market but that's a niche problem.
