You mean the new feature that removes your expensive saved dyes and won't let you save a dye on the item again, meaning you have to burn a jet black/pure white every time you want to use those on a glamour plate? Lmao
They put so much effort into tweaking PvP yet don't commit enough to it to make it truely last.
We've had good suggestions throughout Endwalker to make it more worthwhile to grind PvP and to have something big for those that actually love the content.
They could have:
Added stuff like Hunt currency shop items into Wolf Mark/Trophy shop, potentially the craft materials that you can buy with tomes too? Maybe even other grindy stuff to use PvP as alternate path to aquire.
Added few new Dye colors for PvP currencies
Added recolors of Series rewards (Gear/Mount/Minion) for different Rank sets - such as color 1 for Bronze to Gold, 2 for Plat-Dia, 3 Crystal, small badge or additional effect for Top 100.
Added alternate gearing path for PvE, whether it's really competitive with current top end gear is up to debate but being able to at least buy decent ilvl catchup gear for Alts would be great.
Added Ranked currency that you gain small amounts even in Bronze to give more casual players a way to eventually work their way to some of the big ticket items over multiple Seasons.
Added past Season rewards back, while the Feast items are controversial (can be debated but having at least recolors would be nice) they definately should add the old Series rewards even if they costed quite a lot.
Added actual PvP Relic to encourage playing all the modes, this would be the big ticket item for casual play.
Added competitive big ticket items like Augmented Hellhound weapons, such as full augmentable Armor Set that gains more flashy effect/aura the more pieces you Augment. Big Hellhound Collar cost per piece, upgrade uses Commendation Crystals.
Added "endgame" titles like Crystalline Champion behind 5x Crystal Rank and Crystalline Legend behind 5x Top 100 potentiall more for most of the Ranks.
Overall there's just so so much more they could do or could have done. If they are already pouring so much resources into PvP, might as well make it more worthwhile to everyone and really seal the deal of it being one of the prime ways to keep the game active during content lull.

I really would love for a bunch of graphically updated universal gear sets to be added every patch, it's just it really feels like the "you get nothing" meme from Charlie and the chocolate factory...
I enjoy PvP so much but it's impossible to recommend when it feels like getting them to support it is, well, so painstakingly difficult.
Are there not enough people on the team to support the game right now?
It's not like they did this so people will be more incentivized to buy the monetized dyes from the cash shop.
Oh wait, that's exactly why they did it.
It's actually very scummy they sell those there and make them intentionally rare (and thus more expensive in game) so they can boost cash shop sales.
You can buy Wolf collars for 1k each, it only takes 1 slot and you can exchange them for Wolf Marks later on if you need them. I think its worth 4k Wolf marks each.
Love how they gaslit everyone and make them think the series rewards will come back and it's not a FOMO system. I guess because the backlash wasn't immediate before and when it came out and people were 'surprised' when they realized that stuff isn't coming back despite them saying so.
Not even after an expansion is done did they bring back last expansion's series' rewards to be something they can progress towards.
GW2 did it better, I thought this will be reward tracks people can select and progress towards their desired rewards as time passes by, but apparently not.
Should add the dye to the plate, although honestly dyes should have been permanent unlocks... :/
That consumable money was too good to pass up I imagine.

I've long wanted PvP statted gear, we used to have it a long time ago and then they removed it >.<;
Definitely a lot of things they could do with our tokens... Like each new armor set comes with a progression chain, for better stats, new dye channels, and unlock-able effects (fiery, glowly, etc). Feed the gear in a sort of relic interface and it can morph properties, including cosmetics. Imo it should be competitive, but with the same approximate component of time that the other gear has (so it doesn't replace). Perhaps this can be represented by PvP materia, with new effects like double sprint in town, faster out of combat regeneration, double strength materia that connects it's neighbor slot with the restriction that it can't be a stat materia (so you can put something else there but not another stat), heirloom materia that causes the gear's level requirement to drop, extra experience where armoury experience applies, etc. If these ideas play out, be sure to add them to normal content (but continue to allow PvP purchasing of them, can make them untradeable for the market defining ones if needed).
Maybe 20 wolf collars can unlock a previous PvP series track.
Each new weapon set, make the SFX available for purchase and apply as a sixth materia
No, FOMO- so imo at some point ALL rewards will cycle back (some point being key thought, more unique stuff can be held onto longer AND top X gear will have the signed "top X" on those items). IMO, top X should get you the gear for low effort, then the next season / roll out they add shop unlocks that players can use tokens to gain access to expanded store selections (to then buy that lol, probably broken up by either role or DoW / DoM). Could make it have a FFXII license board appearance too (and so getting TOP X unlocks many licenses at once), add some mounts and stuff in there too cause why not. Can add to the boards / new boards if they want later. You can use EXP for some of the progression, like a license board or a GW2 progression track, and certain nodes can be cost + exp (like any of the TOP X).
Add a way to exchange the marks to other currencies as a final token dump (like it might not be the most amazing ratio but you could dump marks into the current end game tomestone).

The problem with that is that you need to replace the dyes every time you change the plate or want to use an outfit on a new plate, wasting an expensive dye every single time.
Whereas with normal items in the dresser you can just assign a permanent dye to them, allowing you to slap it on as many plates as you want with the expensive dye already applied.

Ah I change plates so rarely that I wouldn't have noticed lol. I can see that not being great. I stand by dyes should have been permanent unlocks statement though. Like 10 years ago saying as much XD. Then, imo, still can use plates to store the dye BUT also allow players at specific locations to swap dyes at an artist station (from the pool of unlocked dyes).
