    I didn't like how it looked on my chocobo, so I rarely used it despite it being one of my favorite mounts. I much prefer this current level of tilt... but exclusively on my chocobo. I'd probably just turn off ground tilt entirely.

    The flight tilt was nerved so badly it looks like I'm sliding around on the x axis again. I miss my carbuncle mount tilting and wooshing around the skies. It makes me sad... Why introduce a toggle when you're just going to nerf it this much anyway?

    I turned off the character tilt too, didn't like it. But just leave the tilting the way it was for people who wanted it. I would have just turned them off regardless. It's weird to nerf something AND introduce a toggle. Just... keep the toggle, go back to how the tilt was in the past.

    I think a sensitivity slider for tilt would be the best option in this case where players are divided.


    I like mount's tilt now, I didn't like mount's tilt before.


    Individual sliders for character, ground mounts and flying mounts would be the ideal solution.


    I still would love to have a roll/pitch flying system in-game, we could fly like aircraft doing loops in the air and whatnot, full control while flying would be incredible.

    I agree with other comments there should be a tilt option i loved the 7.0 mount tilt.

    I REALLY liked the 7.0 mount tilt. It felt very nice to fly around. Now, I legitimately see no difference in having the setting on versus off. They look the exact same. Why??? All people wanted was an OPTION to disable it. But now it's gone for everyone.

    I strongly advocated for a toggle, because the tilt made me extremely nauseous. I'm glad we got that, but I have no idea why they also nerfed the tilt for people who did like it the way it was.

    Controller user here with Legacy Type movement + no camera pivot (manual camera turning).

    I really enjoyed the tilt level, though like with emote animations it sometimes felt too "heavy" or snaps back too quickly. Essentially, the transition isn't smooth. I doubt they would get it right since emotes still snap back awkwardly after all these years. I want the full tilt though. On larger mounts it looks good, only with small mounts did it feel out of place for me.

    As with character tilts. It's nonexistent on my Au Ra. It seems she's too short for it to be noticeable. It's there, but it might as well not be for how much tilt there is on it. I had to squint really hard to even see it.

    Hm, I wonder too if the character tilt suffers from the same issue as the mounts; as a max height femroe it kinda looks like I'm about to fall over.

    My main complaint is the snapping back to straight when you stop moving to be honest... For actually actively playing, I mainly use controller legacy movement and turn smoothly with the camera and for that the tilt looks fine (could probably be more exaggerated and I wouldn't complain either) for both mounts and characters. But because I use bluetooth and I'm often online for extended periods, any time I'm not actively doing something (just clicking through menus, waiting on gathering nodes, visiting the glamour dresser, etc) I plug my controller into the dock to charge and move by holding both left and right mouse button and rotating the camera with the mouse so it stops very suddenly, that's when it looks the most jarring to me.

    Just for running around at least, I think it would be a much better transition if we had a wind down animation when you stop running. Some games have just a tiny little thing where the character skids to a stop if you change direction abruptly; something like that. Very much a pipe dream though, I feel... I haven't seen much of the animations from 1.0 but I do know they were carefully mocapped, so I imagine it was likely they used to have something similar. It would be nice to see.

    Just tried it. It's much more realistic now, without the wild side-to-side gyrations it had with minor direction changes it had before.
    Ideally, the banking would be proportional to turn rate, but we don't really have analog control over turning short of constantly dragging the mouse left or right. Do consoles let you do gentle turns with a stick?

    In general I think the tilt feature needs more time in the oven; some mounts work really well (especially while flying) with the extreme tilts, some look really weird and should be kept subtle. Square I think needs to look at the tilt on a mount-by-mount basis and go with gut intuition on what "feels best"; it makes sense I think for a motorbike to have an extreme tilt on the ground, but I think a Chocobo works better with a more subtle tilt. In the air both would work with a more extreme tilt. A slider or extra options to exaggerate or dial back the tilt would further help with those who want a little bit more or less than what Square thinks is good.

    Yeah, i'm genuinely baffled that they just reduced it universally rather than make a slider (or at least a full-reduced-off toggle)
