I can't speak for anyone else, of course, but I've restarted the game and my computer several times.
I can't speak for anyone else, of course, but I've restarted the game and my computer several times.
As mentioned in another thread
OS: Window 10 with current updates
Launcher: FFXIV Launcher, not Steam
Connection type: Bluetooth connection
PS4 Controller Model: CUH-ZCT1U and CUH-ZCT2U
- Both worked while still playing 7.0
- "Device Not Located" after 7.1 update
- Computer sees the controllers, other games see/use the controllers, FFXIV cannot see the controllers.
- Controller is detected while connected via USB, but my USB ports are broken so they don't keep connected... so I need the Bluetooth to work.
- PS5 controller (model CFI-ZCT1W) works just fine, Bluetooth and USB.
- I have also tried using a 3rd party exe to see if that would get it to work, DS4Windows - no change
- I should mention the exe was last used years ago before PS4 support was added native to many recent games
- Turned on/off Bluetooth on the computer - no change
- Unplugged and plugged back in the Bluetooth adaptor - no change
- Rebooted computer - no change
Me and my gf are having the same issue.
Same issue here.
Windows 11 with PS4 controller (no steam)
My wired connection isn't all that either to be honest. That's why I use bluetooth.
Hopefully it gets a fix sooner rather than later.
Edit: I've restarted PC and game multiple times. It just doesn't work.
My Dualshock controller also didn't work until I plugged it in. I just assumed it was my laptop acting up haha.
Same. PS4 controller. Device not recognized. Have to use wired for now. Painful.
Same thing going on here. Bluetooth isn't working for PS4 DualShock controller on Windows 10. Going to try plugging it in directly (luckily that is an option for me), but this is really annoying. Connection seems to work fine for Fields of Mistria through Steam, so it's just the game, not the computer. :\

Current version of DS4 (v3.3.0) will enable PS4 controllers to work just like usual prior to the 7.1 patch, also get the added benefit of seeing what your battery percentage is currently at
I had the same issue, but it's working great with the current version of DS4 like you said.
Having the same issue spent about 45 minutes trying to connect and disconnect.
Settled on plugging it in but is definitely not a ideal situation.
