Thread: Problem with wireless controller after 7.1

Same issue, Playstation 4 DualShock controller connected to my Windows 10 PC via Bluetooth is not recognized by FFXIV after Patch 7.1. I am not playing the Steam version of the game.

- My PC is detecting the controller, as well as other programs such as Steam (without DS4Windows running)


- System Config window states "Device Not Located" while PS4 controller is powered on and connected via bluetooth


- System Config recognizes controller when emulated by DS4Windows as an XBox 360 controller


- System Config no longer recognizes controller when emulated as DualShock4 controller


This problem is exclusive to FFXIV and Patch 7.1 as I was able to play prior to this patch with my PS4 controller without DS4Windows running emulation. DS4Windows is a temporary fix at best, because it increases the latency of inputs making high end content unnecessarily more difficult.
