Problem with wireless controller after 7.1

So before the launch of 7.1 my PS4 controller worked fine on my pc but after the launch of 7.1 It doesn't even seen it anymore. I've tried to reset my settings in the game that didn't work, I've tried to set the game settings to default that didn't work either. I've also tried to hardwire it in to see if it wasn't the blue tooth part that didn't work either. However I tried using my controller with all my other games with no issues whatever. No matter what I do since the update it doesn't even detect that a controller is present. Thoughts or is anyone else having this issue?

I'm having a similar issue, just that it works wired for me but bluetooth, nothing works.

Also using the Dualshock4 Controller.

Hey o/ I have issues with ps4 controller as well. Worked fine wirelessly before patch 7.1. Windows recognizes it and it works wirelessly on windows test screen, but not anymore on FFXIV. If I hardwire it, it does work in FFXIV. Would be nice to get the wireless working in FFXIV again.

I can confirm that my PS4 controllers will not connect with Bluetooth, but the PS5 controllers do.

same for me, but i am using a Dualshock 3 Controller with DS4 Windows in Dualshock 4 Mode.
If i switch to xbox 360 mode it works again, but thats not how i like it.

some things seems to be broken in 7.1 with DS4 support

edit: playing on the square enix launcher, not Steam, windows 10 with current updates

We are currently looking into the above but have not been able to reproduce the aforementioned issues, and are continuing our investigation.

If you are experiencing disconnections, please check that you are using the correct connection method with the DUALSHOCK®4 USB Wireless Adaptor as described on the following page:

If this does not resolve the problem, please tell us which platform (Windows, Mac, or Steam) you are playing on (please be sure to indicate if you are using the Steam version on Windows), and also provide the details on your DUALSHOCK®4 connection environment.

Thank you for looking into it, i'm currently playing on windows through the SE Launcher. I'm not experience any disconnects because Final fantasy 14 isn't even seeing that there is a device there. I've tried the same controller on other games that I play and it's working fine, no issue or disconnections. With Final fantasy 14 it used to see it but since 7.1 launched it just flat out is not detecting it at all. It's a sony brand dualshock controller and it worked before the update.

same for me, i dont have disconnects, it doesn't get recognized in xiv at all
it shows up in windows, i can use it in games, just xiv doesn't work anymore with it
nothing changed since yesterday for me on my end

- Windows 10 with current updates
- square launcher without steam
- wired with usb

if i change the mode vom DS4 to xbox360, all works again, so its only DS4 mode

Had the same issues as discussed here. Bluetooth connected Dualshock 4 worked fine last night and now after the 7.1 Update not detected at all by the game. Controller works perfectly for other games as well as games on Steam.

- Windows 10 with current updates
- Square launcher without steam

Troubleshooted restarting game, pc, wired connection for controller. Nothing worked

Turned on DS4Windows and finally solved the issue. Seems like FFXIV is having trouble recognizing DS4
