Seriously; PLD, healers, SAM, MNK, VPR, DRG, everything I touch dies. Square please don't touch RDM, it's the one job I've enjoyed since its inception and I started playing XIV because my favourite FF job got introduced, the DT iteration is fine, it needs no changes.
#FFXIVHEALERSTRIKE
Healers have been neglected for 3 expansions now and this needs to be rectified with the following:
- An engaging DPS kit beyond a nuke and DoT.
- Increased incoming damage so we have more to heal.
- Distinctive playstyles amongst the healers.
- Some nerfs to non-healer heals, we shouldn't be replaceable.
I love the change, easy (boring) = good.
Everything in 7.1 goes to show that YoshiPs statements about wanting to bring back some complexity to jobs was a total lie. Love to see it.
I miss my Blood of the Dragon and Dragon Sight chat.
i miss the chain. i like how it stretched whenever we jumped around... not like we have asmany jumps left, but still.
also: i liked the skill, it was not annoying at all. it was fairly easy to use with a few macros on your bar.
They are creating some weird situations...
DRG, DRK, WAR, BLM, RDM....how your job works is based on lore and how the universe of FFXIV works.
If you remove a skill without a better solution, you are breaking our immersion and turning job quests into a waste of time.
Right now our weapons are almost just another glam
"oh, now i want to play WHM with a book..switch to SCH"
"oh, now i want to play WAR with a big sword..switch to DRK"
hope is the first step on the road to disappointment
Drg was my first job back in 1.0 and has been since. Its a total disgrace what yoshi and the devs have done to this, once fun class. All complexity has been removed from the game and we are now obviously prepping for when FFXiX moves to a mobile game.
My sub runs out at the end of the month then im done.
Yeah, I remember giving static members a slight spook when red tether suddenly jumped in their face, fun times.
Also, pretty much as soon as I started properly raiding back in the beginning of EW, I just slammed 3 macros for Dragonsight:
- Automatically target 2nd melee (literal no-brainder for raids)
- To apply buff with mouseover on whoever I liked the most on the party list.
- Lazy one that goes through the rest of DPS list that I throw away in DF.
It blows my mind how people can't use tools that games gives them to make stuff more comfortable to use.
And back to topic: DRG is a shade of former self. This is NOT the rework I wanted.
As a DRG main since I started in 2.3 this is the first time I haven't enjoyed the class. The only good thing to come from the DT update was the removal of the annoying dragonsight... And really SE? Replace a jump with a lame little dash that also takes one of our few lower level skills away? Hopefully enough people complain so they cave like they did for BLM.
Yeah, I completely agree. As a DRG main since HW, the job does not feel as good anymore and removing the 3 Nastrond took out so much of the fun factor. Was it a little hectic, maybe but that also made it extremely fun and satisfying and that for me is the biggest issue, the removal of the fun factor.
TBH I miss EW DRG, I think that was my favorite iteration and I may imbe in the minority but I loved Dragon Sight. I really enjoyed the lore behind it and I thought it was such a cool concept even if a little janky. It was always fun in groups too, with people requesting it or just having fun with it in raid with my buddies and giving it to the healer for laughs. We'll since what 8.0 dragoon looks like but I'm not feeling it in DT currently.
