7.1 DRG Changes - SE learned nothing from EW

Hello, fellow gamers,

This is the first time in my seven years of playing this game that I’m posting on the forums to express my concerns about its current state. After Yoshi-P's media tour interview, I was in reasonably good spirits about the new expansion, hyped up and ready to step into a new era of FFXIV.

It turns out that was just lip service and empty promises. I should have known better, especially after they started simplifying Viper only one month into the patch. However, it didn’t bother me much at the time since it wasn’t a melee class I planned to play anyway. But with today's Dragoon changes, I’ve finally had enough of this class homogenization. Who in the seven hells asked for this change? Not only did they remove three OGCDs from the Dragoon's rotation, but they also stripped away what made Dragoon unique—it’s now just a Samurai with a pole and an animation lock.

SQUARE ENIX, this has to stop. Give us our Nastronds back and stop lobotomizing jobs.

Yeah... feelsbadman. I said this in another thread but I suppose I'll say it here too. My honest opinion is that its all just lip service just for the sake of giving an engaging interview (good PR) and to get the players off their back. They try to give everyone the positive impression that they're listening to feedback, but in reality they're just waiting for things to blow over and for the players to forget.

I never comment on job changes, I normally go along with anything and I've been a DRG since HW, but man this just feels real bad.

Those weaves were Fun, any time they weren't up, the rotation felt empty. Im genuinely sad.

Maybe they'd like SE to suffer even more financial losses after what they already saw this quarter. Let's get that stock price to drop down further so they have less money to invest into this game.
