Thats more work than they should have to do and they have implemented multiple check points of "are you sure" and "proceed" etc. Sometimes you gotta own your own s***.Maybe but I like to think they can check logs and say 'I'm sorry, we can see you went straight on an purchased y, we are rejecting your request.
It's too late for this user but I think what they could do it's say we will lock your character from all trading and mb for 24 hours after logging in. You can 'roll back' your own transfer in this time.

I've never even heard of the similarly named EU server nor was given any warning about it. Was given no "warning" other than a last confirmation of which I mistakenly read one very closely named server for another.
And hey... If you think that very quickly reported mistake warrants me getting screwed over then maybe reconsider the type of person you are yourself. Some of you are really getting off on being pricks about what should be a simple mistake with a simple solution.

It's because Sagittarious is a relatively new server that didn't used to be around. It's an understandable mistake.
It's unfortunate SE has this policy, but they do and I can only guess it's to make people give a new server a proper chance when they decide to go there. Wouldn't be a point to the policy if they just reversed it when asked though.
This reminds me a bit of family telling you "life is hard, deal with it", translated it becomes "i don't have empathy, not my problem you have to deal with something that makes no sense and instead of trying to fix the nonsense i'd rather tell you to suck it up and toughen up, and i actually took the time to come all the way here to tell it to your face just because".
While I am certain this is frustrating to you, it is entirely your mistake. There are checks and confirmations prior to completing a server transfer that you are required to agree to before it is completed and you failing to read is not a failure on Square Enix's part. It's unfortunate that there's a 3 month timer, if anything it would be great of them to waive the fee and allow you to pay for a second transfer sooner but their policy is likely set to try to prevent malicious action.
