Please help... Accidental server transfer from US to EU

I'm PLEAING with anyone at Square Enix to please help with this. My character was on Jenova-Aether and I intended on transferring to Sargatanas-Aether. I accidentally transferred to a similar world name but on Chaos-EU...

Calling Square-Enix phone support three times I was met with the same: I need to wait 90 DAYS to transfer again. Even though I reported this immediately the moment it went through, I'm being told I need to "deal with it" (or another person even suggested I make another character...). I'm unable to play on an EU server from US with the latency.

Even if I have to be moved to another server on US that isn't on Aether... otherwise right as my most anticipated patch (FFXI-related) is about to release I'm completely screwed over...

I reported this within minutes of the mistake yet no one can help... please...

You couldn't have transferred to an aether server to begin with, it's congested.



They make you confirm everything before you transfer.

I confused Sargatanas with Sagittarius... I had no idea until I went to try and login that that was the case. If I was NOT able to transfer, then I would've just stayed on Jenova-Aether...

Well, the rules very likely exist for a reason, probably backend, and I dont see them bending them.

On the bright side, vpns make eu from na not feel as bad!

You can play with the NA account on EU servers without problems. I am in the EU and i have an NA alt. Only the latency is way higher.

Depends where you are in NA. I played on NA during Stormblood when they moved the servers to sacramento, this was 200ms latency from EU. VPNs made it a lot less unplayable, but it was still really a shitshow.

The rules are the case because they want new/low pop servers to have players so they lock them there (but they are very clear about this).

You can still raid on there if that's your intention (just DC travel to Light) but be aware they do it differently. They use fixed positions for each role with macro positions like JP does, so for example OT is always in same spot, Melee DPS #1 is always in same spot, etc.

You can meet NA friends by traveling to Materia but the ping for everyone there likely won't be good.
