I've done a bunch if Ex1. And a little of Ex2. I have never attempted an on-content Savage raid.

I don't do Savage because I do not want to be trapped in an instance dying over and over for three hours a night three days a week, an experience a bunch of my friends enjoy, but it's not for me.

Curious that you dislike dying over and over in an instance to progress, but also did on-content extremes which do essentially the same thing. No shade thrown here, I'll just point out that M1S (And M2) aren't nearly as hard as you think.

I progged a friend new to raiding through M1S in two full lockouts. He's already seeing Enrage on M2 after another two lockouts. He cleared M3 (the hardest fight in the tier, arguably) in two weeks (four lockouts).

Savage, especially this Tier, isn't really that impossible as long as you bring appropriate gear (710 crafted or light-heavy) and food.
