I mean, FF as a whole is pretty much their flagship game and Symbiogenesis has been renewed for a second season even tho everyone laughed at NFTs, so I guess they're doing SOMETHING right.
But yeah, you DO wanna make your customers happy. That said, I always feel the hardest genre to make that happen are MMOs in general, especially when your budget is limited as Yoshida has hinted at in several interviews.
There's people from so many walks of life coming together, some want PVP, some want raids, some want grinds, some want to show off their glams in limsa, some just wanna rearrange furniture all day and some want to do neither and find their own ways to make content themselves.

Yes, companies should find a balance between their interests and players but more often than not, they don't. Despite Larian's overwhelming success most companies still slobber after what fills their coin purses in the short term.

At least there is enough to keep me entertained with their abysmal failures. Concord, DA Vanguard, Assassin's Creed Shadows... and the list goes on.

Being on the board of directors means that his interests are SE's interests, and SE's interests are milking this game dry so they can fund more failures. You know it's getting bad when even the FF7R series has started underselling.

It took around 1 - 2 hours to complete each of them.

I jumped back in recently with the Zoraal Ja EX with some friends, we put up a PF for an extra two people, and it just wasn't any fun. I wasn't coordinated enough for that silly stack moving mechanic. We tried for an hour, and even though the PF said blind and practice, we still had people jumping in and out constantly, after the second or third wipe.

Edit: I also really enjoyed doing the blue mage challenges for the titles and the rewards (the umbrella)

That kind of content seems to be the perfect difficulty for me.

It's not fun to me. All respect to those of you who enjoy it, play it to your heart's content, but I much prefer the slow solo deep dungeons challenge. I don't have to wait for other people, I don't have to watch them get frustrated and leave, I don't have to feel bad about my mistakes and I can just go again and learn at my own pace.
It sounds to me like you enjoy the single-player experience more than group content? I mean... things like blue mage content or even the Fall Guys event mechs can trip you up, but I guess the stress you mention comes less from the content and more the pressure of the people around you.

I understand the feeling, but I just like the direction the game is taking by including more group content and just leaning more onto the fact that this is an MMO.

Like a savage version of 4-player dungeons you can do with your close friends instead of relying to statics that can have a less reliable longevity.

So you enjoyed Endwalker, but didn't even do the content from Endwalker. Actually explains alot lmao

I fail to see where your comment makes any sense.

How is it different from logging in 1 day/ week vs being active and not logging in after for a time? I would very much like the developer not to treat me like a child who needs their hand constantly being held and told what I am and not allowed to do with my own damn time and money.
    Money. That's the difference

Without a weekly cap, the already sparse content would be well stretched beyond its breaking point. It means stuff like say, the 24 man releasing next week has literally zero value. After all, how can it serve as catch up if there isn't a tomestone cap necessitating the need to "catch up" in the first place? They need a way to keep you subbed. Which, to be fair, would remain true even if we were overflowing with content. No developer can keep up with how quickly players complete content. Case in point, that 24 man likely took a month or two to fine tune and test yet will be over with in 40 minutes. For a subscription based game, there always needs to be some form of progression limitation.

Its quite clear you didn't complete or even attempt the content. Criterion is exactly what you are looking for, but you disagree because...you can I guess?

I mean if we just base this whole discussion on assumptions and accusations, sure.
