To be honest I never really cared about FF I joined because of the MH World collab and when they added the DRG armor in MH World I was like HOLY SH*T I WANNA PLAY THAT!? but in the end DRG kept getting worse until what we have know 5th place in melee and one less buff so I am just playing until MH wilds come out

And Cloud is delayed so everything is not released at the same time so people can enjoy all content when it goes out without feeling stressed to not be able to do everythings...

This is and always has been a silly excuse for their drip feed nonsense. The people who Chaotic Alliance appeal towards will be done pretty much everything 7.1 offers in the same day it drops. All they're doing is putting a sub incentive later into the patch cycle because 7.1 is, well, kind of lacking.

Instead, the patch proper is going to feel completely barren even for raiders literally the day it drops. And then everyone gets to scramble to make something work on Christmas Eve of all days. That's an absolutely asinine release schedule. They specific said they wanted to avoid major holidays but sure, let's drop a EX/Savage raid on Christmas Eve.

It's hilarious they're releasing Chaotic Raid on Christmas Eve! Better wake the family up and raid oh boy! It's also hilarious they're adding farming 730 gear when probably around the same time Savage will unlock anyways so thanks I guess.

That's the thing this company can't imagine anything, it's just apologize/take a break/ don't retire XIV blah blah blah at this point I'm just gonna start voting with my wallet waiting from July/August til end of Nov/Late December is such a bad idea that it's gonna drive people who are already leaving, to just not wanna come back.

They don't take risks, they don't innovate, now the xpac is stagnating faster everyday, if there's something people enjoy good for you I hope you're genuinely happy but I find this patch cycle and waiting just unacceptable.

Your opinion is certainly valid. However, I'm not sure how true this is. In EW, they tried Savage 4 man. The biggest complaint was the rewards. They know that, so when they came up with this 24 man Savage fight, they made sure the rewards were better. Am I say this is perfect for everyone? Not at all. Everyone is going to have an opinion. I'm one of the people who can blow through the content quickly, but I'm also not going to complain about a self induced problem. From what I hear, WoW has a quicker cadence, and they also get hit with the "Is this all there is" comments as well.

I'd be fine with the rewards from Chaotic if it wasn't too late, DT has a pacing issue with content release and it's showing horribly. To fix a lot of the issues they either had to: Release Savage + Field operations + Relic or Savage + Relic with Field operations and Chaotic raid late Nov after ultimate. By the time Chaotic 730 gear comes out Savage will be unlocked meaning that we coulda used it *now* instead of later as it helps XIVs terrible gearing of alts in Savage even if it is a treadmill.

You're fine to have an opinion but the issue I have isn't a self induced problem, there isn't much DT content (not including old raids/savages/ultis etc), as it stands there is MSQ with Savage and normals since it came out and now they're telling us to wait longer? I'm all for waiting for good content but give me current Xpac content that's meaningful, my friends hardly log in, people just raid log, the rest are AFK in Limsa or at clubs/RPing but you say it's self induced? Why can't I blame the company who I pay monthly among others who also pay a sub?

I can't speak on WoW but I know it's even having it's own issues with new content and people are also voicing their concerns just like XIV is.

While Criterion itself was innovation, it took them the entire expansion to actually address a complaint that arose when it first released. Chaotic having better rewards isn't a compliment, it just highlights the glacier pace at which they acknowledge and actively address feedback. Criterions reward should have been adjusted by the time Mount Rokkon released. Although, it's genuinely baffling they thought anyone would be satisfied with the initial rewards to begin with. Now they did add the glow weapons to Aloalo Island but even that was clearly done as a last minute panic given you were forced to waste 500 capped tomes and clear P11S for your reward.

As for this being a self inflicted problem to blow through the patch quickly? How? Purposely not doing content in order to artificially stretch it out doesn't magically add longevity. There's simply not enough being added in 7.1.

Doesn't seem to bother them when they release ranked pvp at the same time than savage tiers and they'll keep doing it this expansion as well apparently. Two types of content that are insanely time consuming and on a limited time window to progress through. But somehow when it's about ultimate raiders having conflicting releases it's the end of the world.

In an ideal world though, yes, they should try to spread release of content, but they don't seem to be very amenable to that idea because of their precious holy schedules.

Yeah I think that's it for me... I'll play the patch but when I'm done with 7.1 content, and unless pvp changes are great enough to keep me untertained, that's it.

Any trust and build goodwill I had has run dry. I this point I really hope there will be a big falling in the subs, so they have to address the problem (even to say they won't address it, because they're fine with losing all their mmo players - and by that I mean people that actually enjoy the mmo element like balanced farming as they use to have. At least we would know we can't expect anything anymore).
