There's also bronze fransiscas you can buy from a LL vendor and Exorcism Beans which is a low level CUL craft you can use for throwing. While the damage on them aren't much, they still will do damage and give you TP.

Overall probably better to just save for initial pulling and when mobs like garuda are in mid-transit to you that way you can still output a little DPS and build TP in the process to nail her once they get to you.

you'r not missing out on auto attack by throwing things, there really isn't a downside. trust me, i use bomb arms constanly and am usally in the top 2 or 3 dps when i parse.
