Why do you stick with FFXIV?

MMOs are my home away from home experience for a decade now, and FF14 is the best I could find. I like the world, the overall story, the gameplay, the classes. There is no goal that I want to achieve - it's all about the journey. And if there's nothing to do on my main, I will just create another toon, and start this journey from the beginning.
I don't care about challenging content, min/maxing my character, PvP and the like - my real life is already challenging enough, don't want any of that in my play time.

And what could finally turn me away? Maybe if they follow the Strayborough road, and make any new dungeon an unplayable mess, this might be a reason for me to call it quits... time will tell, I guess.

Dude, I wish an FC mate of mine had that mentality even partially. I spent 2-3 months building his house only for him to move to a different Data Center a month later (it's not like he commissioned me w/gil or anything either). To put all that love and care into designing his home, only to have it destroyed on a sudden whim sucked. It seriously killed my want to ever build for someone other than myself again and even hampered my want to build for myself for a long time.

I'm transferring my install to my external.
Finding myself forcing log-ins, and to be fair, I have accomplished a lot in my tenure with the game.

The game did nothing wrong in this regard, this is a me thing. Just log in and stare at things. Bulk of my friends have large time-zone differences so its hard to play, with a regular group.
I'm looking into if I am developing a fear of failure or a fear of being hurt that essentially produces the same result. But again, me things.

I'll wait for more content to stack up and I may be back, or I may not, but I have no complaints about my time in FF14.

Roleplay and housing. Thats about it. The gameplay hasnt evolved and endgame seems boring af gameplay wise spamming the same rotation and dodge-fiestaing even as a tank. Every job is a dps in disguise.
