So, why don't Dancers have a performance tab like bards, except for dance-related moves??? Yea, there are dance emotes, but Dancer just screams for more improve and dance routines.

I have no idea how their animation system works under the hood, but probably because it's harder to make several different "dance step" animations that flow into each other smoothly than it is to add a bunch of synthesizer sounds with the exact same animation.
Just work it like the current "global cd" system. Hitting one move activated the cd and allows the move to complete before allowing the player to continue to the next move.If positioning is an issue, include it as part of the move-set, much like chain combos, just require the specific position for the move to be usable (i.e. moves that require standing means character is standing, moves that require ground means player must be on ground, etc). And just like everything else, use the global cd to allow time for character to get into position.
Because that would take a massive amount of work to not only animate a number of different dance moves but make them flow into each other in a way that doesn't look horrible despite not knowing which order they're going to be used in. It's not really comparable to bard performance which is just "press button receive doot."
Isn't standard step and technical step already a 15 second long window to dance as you please in Limnsa. You get Improvisation as well to dance without inputs. I feel like they put plenty of dancing in the class already.
True - but since the animations and such already exist, can they not allow Dancer a Performance option, so that they can do what's essentially emote-versions of these?
Its definitely something i have wanted since day 1. Id even settle for a system that just lets us string together a bunch of our move animations (Both with and without the lighting effects) as an automatic playlist that will time them so they dont overlap.
With the club scene being so big in the game, it would be a good feature.
