I miss the Yoshi of the 1.X / ARR / HW era where he would talk with the players directly and often, frequently posting on the forms. Now it's a very scripted PLL that is as scripted as their content. I used to be worried that they forgot all that they learned from the 1.X fiasco but with the team being changed so much, I doubt there is anybody left who was present during the 1.x / 2.x era.

Is the Yoshi of old still around? Possibly, but he has most likely been gagged by the higher ups from saying anything other than what the PR department will let him say.

Or ranting about a trans character has to be voiced by a trans VA, only to then do VA for both male and female characters in the same year (Unicorn Overlord and FFXIV).

People are way too caught on this VA somehow being the main evil of the expansion. Sure, they are a crummy person, but you can just switch to JP voice if you want to.

The VA couldve been an actual cat going meow meow into the mic, while subtitles rolled. Doesnt make the WRITING AND PACING any better from the horrendous disney slop it was.

I think the VA just didn't really do herself any favors at all by going off so much on her twitter like she did. By doing this, she caught the ire of many players, plus of course she didn't really do a good job voice acting WL.
I also think it's problematic for Yoshi-P to defend her so openly, looking back at the stuff she wrote.

But I agree that this is another topic all together. I hope we can just go back to ignoring this person, and not giving her any spotlight at all.

We understand you all can't stand this character, so our solution is to give you more of her so you can understand her better.

It's the quality of writing that's the biggest issue here, but they'll never address that. In my opinion, Wuk Lamat would be a non-issue if she was written competently.

I've only watched other people's experiences with DT's MSQ (can't bring myself to catch up), but I'm not looking forward to the next patches in regard to the story. After leveling my jobs up, I might just unsub for a while.

I switched to German, mostly because those fake, high pitched voices Japanese women put on are like nails on a chalkboard. Also why I don't watch anime in Japanese. No idea how ppl can listen to that and think, 'yeah that sounds nice, can I have some more of that'
