That is when the true Vana'diel of legend will be reborn.
I loved them too, they had a wide range of tones and world building.I for one enjoyed the little journey with the postmoogle questline, I am hoping that we get more soon and maybe even a fashion accessory postmoogle satchel. it would be amazing to see this continue. Hildy gets all these questlines yet we have yet to get some more postmoogle love.
They tried to replicate them later in HW notably with the scholasticate quests, but I think those proved a lot less successful. We've had them though across most expansions under different forms: SB had the Doman Enclave series, ShB had Firmament with a lot of gameplay associated with it. EW had Tataru's endeavor and that unexpected gem of a questline with Omega written by Ishikawa.
oh yes that one... i was more mad about the lady for deciding to stay with that guy rather than joining her sister... that poor sister
but i wouldnt mind more of them. some of those quests were pretty nice. and more worldbuilding and lore about side characters is always great.
The problem with the Scholasticate quests, to me at least, is how serious they are, when they took Briardien, a character introduced in ARR Hildy's questline, and put him in a significantly more serious environment, sure Briardien was always "the serious one", but to me he worked specifically because he was The Straight Man, the guy who got upset at our insanity, putting him in his own element made him really boring to me.
