Adders' immorality, corruption, and excusing the deaths of innocents in 90 VPR quest

    Spoilers below, naturally.

At the end of the 90 VPR quest, Golias, who helped Innocent Stork use Iq Soq Xmajun to slaughter innocent adventurers for fun, is about to be led away to be tried by the Twin Adders.

Then, suddenly, Keshkwa speaks up and tries to justify Golias's actions, saying it's because of him that the best is dead.

That's not true. It's because of Golias that innocent adventurers are dead. It's because of Golias that Innocent Stork captured and used Iq Soq Xmajun. Golias didn't even help in the fight other than blurting out a tip about the monster's wings, which doesn't seem to be what Keshkwa's referring to. Keshkwa is just trying to gaslight everyone (for no clear reason) and paint Golias as a hero (for no clear reason).

And the Serpent Captain just smiles, reverses course in two seconds, and decides to excuse this traitor, cover up the whole thing, and let this accomplice to murder go free? What about the dead adventurers? What about the Twin Adders' integrity?

I know that Golias was coerced with threats, but that came AFTER he willingly gave away Adder secrets. He at first betrayed the Adders willingly because he thought giving confidential intel to Innocent Stork would be "beneficial to the Twelveswood." You can't even argue the ends justify the means, because the Twelveswood was ravaged by his betrayal. The end was people dying who wouldn't have died if Golias had just done his duty.

And the Serpent Captain excused him and covered it all up even without knowing about the coercion! What is going on in this quest? What happened to morality? Justice? I hate that I was an accomplice/witness to all this.

If we can get a response from the writing team, what is the moral of this tale? Why is he treated like a hero? Was anyone else disturbed by all this?

As a Duskwight, all I can say is: First time?

Gridanian morals have always been questionable, and that's certainly not the first time the game has been explicit about it.

I don't even strongly role play, or even really "identify" with my character greatly.. but damn if that quest didn't outright offend me. I don't even think it had a "good ending" after everything either. Just, "yeah, we were told you were basically possessed... but we're going to go ahead and keep you detained anyway."

I was pretty horrified at that bit of writing. Here I was thinking we were finally getting some acknowledgement from an outsider that the Duskwights are in a pretty miserable situation, but nope, she hands them straight over to the authorities as if they're actually guilty of what they were speculated to be doing. Even the quest description states their wrongdoing as if it's fact when it was nothing more than what the Gridanians assumed they were doing.
