Thanks for making this thread so I don't have to. Thal's balls I'm sick of this. They just keep adding skimpy options for women whilst denying men the option and I'm so damn tired of it. Men have extremely few options for short shorts in the first place. Let men have booty shorts. Let women have pants. I really hope they make some kind of toggle.

Anyway, I agree we need a toggle or a way to exchange versions. Didn't they say they were going to stop genderlocking things? I wish that would extend to the whole 'the same thing looks completely different per gender, for some reason'. Every single time I try on the neo ishgardian things on my female characters I get bamboozled with frilly dresses, since the icons show only the male version and THAT's what I wanted to see and use, not the dress :/

i love getting new sets to play around with as much as anyone else, but seeing there being difference between how gear displays on male and female models always takes the wind out of my sails
this is something i've commented about in the past with pictomancer's artifact gear, i really don't like having to feel this kind of disappointment when i see something that should excite me

well, here's to hoping that someday in the future, we'll get to choose whether we want our wols to wear shorts or not regardless of what model we use
the live letter's just around the corner, surely we'll get a reveal about some kind of toggle, right? haha...

See the thing that pisses me off about this is the players say, "Hey, we really don't like gender locked clothing. We want to be able to wear the same sets regardless of gender."

And then the devs go, "Okay." [make nothing but "gender neutral" masculine sets like the last few All Saint's Wake clothes sets rather than ever letting a male character wear shorts or a skirt without paying for it in the cash shop.]

It's like there's one dude on the art team who's a 'phobe and gets the icky feeling if they have to see a male character in feminine leaning clothes, so no one can have nice things just because this one person says so, and we only get gender unlocked stuff when they're out on vacation.

It’s still weird to think that we actually got shisui gear

Like on aiming/healing/scouting shisui is a brief/speedo and it’s “serious” dungeon gear (ie not the speedos they occasionally drop into the store). It’s feels like that would never happen in the modern game

It seemed lore-appropriate for where you get it though. Song on that dungeon is great too so isn't painful to farm even though I never used it.
