FFXIV, please stop clothing your men.

We recently got some updates on the 7.1 patch and with it some pictures of gear from the new dungeon (references below. See: WAR and middle gearset). Idk why this time specifically is my breaking point, but I'm going to add my voice to what has been said so many times before:

FFXIV team, PLEASE stop making gendered differences to the same pieces of gear. It's a near universal complaint I've seen in my 4 and a half years of playing this game and, while I'm very glad that a lot of glamour pieces got their gender-locks removed over the years, this specific complaint has never so much as been addressed.

The glamour system is great because it let's you choose from a large catalogue of pieces from throughout the 10 years of this game. That being said, if I want my character to wear pants I will pick pants, and if I want my character to wear shorts I will pick shorts. With respect, please stop limiting our options.

In the same vein please let me put pants (and other male-locked pieces of clothings) on my female characters when I want to. The amount of times I've seen a cool pair of trousers on a male character only for them to turn into panties and stockings and the like on a female character is annoying.
Same goes for nice tops. I really want the male version of the casual attire body piece for my female WoLs for example. :/

I think they will unfortunately. If I'm not mistaken the outfit with the pair of shorts is the tank gear in the second picture and that roe seems to wear long pants...
(It's also most likely the same gear the male viera wears, just with the typical colour change.)

I agree we should be given a choice and I only play as a female character. I also will say I actually thought this was gear we already had and was sadly mistaken. I know some will like but it seems stale the same old. I loved the omicron gear and would love more of that style, I really hope they don't fuck up the FFXI raid and give us some really nice glams. I also hope that there is a longer better hairstyle I just feel they do not listen to any of the feedback on here. But yes back on topic they need to give us a option and should make all the gear more skimpy for the men too
