Game Crashes

I'm getting game crashing with variation of error codes -
nvwgf2umx.dll
nvgpucomp64.dll
KERNAL32.dll
ntdll.dll

I'm running Windows 11, with a nVidia 4080 Card.

I've tried repairing the game, reinstalling the game, reinstalling the video card drivers to the latest, reinstalling the video card drivers to previous versions.

The game itself would load, select a character, get into the actual game and without warning or common activity, the game would crash with the error message. Sometimes after 5 seconds of being in the game, sometimes after as long as 15 minutes. This problem started maybe 2-3 weeks ago and only recently become totally unplayable. Has been working fine for 10 months or so prior.

I've run out of ideas on how to fix this problem and I'm at my wits end!

Try following:

1. download Hwinfo: https://www.hwinfo.com/download/
2. start it with "Sensors only"
3. Create a log. There are buttons in the bottom of the window.
4. play so for 20 minutes or until the game crashes.
5. upload the log somewhere so i can look into it. You can also zip it if it gets too big.

I've attached a second log - this time it just crashed the game on attempting to play rather than my entire PC. I can no longer get to the intro splash screen it seems.

Sorry for the bombardment! I've reinstalled the game again. First time crashed on load screen. Second time I managed to get through past character creation and into the game and was able to play for a few minutes before the game crashed. I ignored 2 error messages in that time, as clicking the OK would close the game, before the game crashed 30 seconds later. Attached is the longer log file that may prove more fruitful. Thanks again for your help!

OK, thank you. The logs are fine, no overheating or too low voltages. But i see, you have a 14700KF CPU.

OK, start Hwinfo again but uncheck the "Sensors only" checkbox. Then on the left, there is a value labeld with "MCU". And in the middle, there is a value labeld with "Version". Please post both values here.

Thanks so much - that is a surprise as it was my guess as the problem.
The MCU value is 123 and the version is F9 - (this is on the motherboard section)

Please make sure your mainboard have the newest BIOS update, as Intel fixed the issue with overvoltage / damaged CPUs. Sadly if your CPU is already affected the only way is using the warranty with Intel / your vendor to replace it.
0x123 is not the updated one and is already old. (released ~ 04/2024)

Then you should upgrade your motherboard BIOS. F11 is the newest version with the very important 0x12B microcode.

Intel fixed an instability issue with it. But if it does not help then your CPU may be damaged. Then you should RMA it. Intel has extended the warranty for 13- and 14-gen CPUs because of it.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I've had 3 hours of completely uninterrupted gaming! That seems to have fixed the problem. I will keep playing over the weekend, however that seems to have rectified the problem!!! Saved me so much frustration and stress!! <3 <3 <3
