    Registration keys

    I had to wipe my hard drive and start all over again. I lost my saved registration keys and I tried to go to steam but they could not help me and told me

    You already own a copy of this game on Steam. CD Keys cannot be used to gain extra copies of games or Steam gifts.
    If you are attempting to register a key for in-game content and having trouble, please double check the instructions you received with the key to make sure it is redeemable on Steam. Often in-game items are redeemable within the game itself. If you continue to have issues please contact the original seller of the key for further assistance. For more information on retail CD keys, please read this FAQ.


    I just want to play and I cant. I tried going to file out a ticket but it would not let me put in my user Id or what ever it is called... it only gives me 8 spaces and I need 10 so I could not submit it so I am here asking for help on what to do.

    I did find the CD keys but when I enter them it tells me that they have been used

    You shouldn't need to put your CD/Game registration keys in again when reinstalling - the registration is linked to your SE account upon initial setup. I'm not 100% sure how Steam operates with this (whether it's linked to your Steam account or not) as I use the standalone version, but usually all you have to do is reinstall the FFXIV application, pop your Square Enix account details into the launcher and then you're good to go.

    I panicked, I am in t he middle of a panic, anxiety attack for the last week and when my computer decided to throw a fit last night, I kind of lost it. Sorry I did have to download it through steam, and it i fine now I just have to redo all my settings.
