All Saint's an unsuprising Dissapointment

All they did with All Saints was use it to get some tasty 'modern' clothing into the Moogle Store.
I would really rather they put that 'Straight' into the Moogle Store. I could respect the SQX/Creative Studio III honesty of that.

Although I no longer say to people "I'm happy to use the Moogle Store because we get more than our Subs worth".

The Glam's got nothing to do with Halloween really. They stuck some invisible wings on the back of a trendy modern shirt. And the story was only better than the DT Battle role stories in that it was mercifully shorter.
I might as well just start skipping. I basically did by the end.
If people start skipping XIV is finished.

(Make sure no-one touching quests or scripts is using AI, if anyone is... fire them.)

I'm not feeling a human's creative 'passion' coming through at the moment. This is not like Square Enix. Or not like their less 'western' en devours. I'm worried.

I mean, everyone playing now gets it free, and it's not locked out of others who are taking breaks right now. It costs less to buy this later than it does to sub anyway.

This seems like an odd complaint.

A lot of people love the glam and I see a lot of people wearing it. And I do know people IRL who wear minimalist costumes like this to hand out candy/whatever.

I liked the outfit. I'm critical a lot, but I'll give credit when I feel it's due. There were multiple pieces, lots of kitbashing potential with the horns, gloves, and shoes. The top is pretty clean and dyes well. One of the few times I went and did it on my alt. Skipped the story though. Haven't watched a seasonal event's story in a long time. Gave them so many chances, but every time it just felt like the same thing.

You spoke about AI; to me, all of dawntrail felt AI written. Possible spoilers ahead, so yeah. The MSQ just felt like some bland retelling of Final Fantasy X's pilgrimage to Zanarkand, but in South America, mixed with some overdone FF14 story beats. It felt like they were just ticking boxes. "Villain with sad past? Check. Turning point at level x7? Check." The raid storyline was just a tournament arc (to be fair, the characters presented were more interesting than any in the dt msq). I have low hopes for the 24man story. You know what DT's MSQ felt like? It had the same bland feel as the post-expansion quests. Just a bunch of tedious running around, talking to npcs, fetch questing, and not a lot of high climactic moments that kept me on the edge of my seat like shb did after we began turning into a monster, or endwalker did during multiple moments (most notably, imo, ''in from the cold''). I never felt a sense of urgency during DT. Even when we arrived at the final zone and they tried to force a sense of urgency onto us, they then proceeded to make us talk to 3 npcs, 3 times in a row, while handling fetch quests and getting ice cream and doing all this ''extra'' stuff while the doomsday clock was ticking in the background. It hampered the pacing so much. The only time I felt anything in DT, was after (spoilers are here, look away if you haven't done dawntrail, this is your chance to go away, go awaaaay) the main hub town gets peppered by future tech, and that little lizard girl is standing around town afterwards looking for her mom. And you really only see that if you did her optional side quest earlier; otherwise she's just chilling near the top of the town not doing anything. And you know what? It felt like they put Krile in the DT promotional stuff, but then forgot to include her in the prompt or something. She kept getting sidelined like mad.

But I digress.

Good lord folks quit expecting anything more than what we've gotten with pervious seasonal events, seriously why just... why?

The outfit is actually pretty good so why complain about getting it for free? Instead you'd rather have us pay for it?
The event is as unexciting as most seasonal events are and that's a valid point of criticism but getting the glam itself? It would be silly to complain about that of all things.

Seasonal event stories always feel sauceless and phoned in, with scant few exceptions, I can remember exactly one enjoyable seasonal quest, and it was Valentione's 2023, even if its own extremely positive message was a bit harmed by the outfits being initially gender locked, I only wish we had got a femme counterpart for this outfit, like we do for Valentione outfits.

I dislike the outfit it went straight into the chest, I am not into modern glams and prefer more fantasy styles plus yet again no option for a skirt? this game has now become bad for always trousers.

I am a female rl and often wear skirts and dresses it would be nice to just be given the option. I am glad others will get enjoyment out of it though it is just not my thing. The quest as always not great but I have played so long I know what to expect.

The event itself was meh. We didn't anything except a small escort mission. When was the last event that we DID something? When we used to run them over and over to get the currency to turn in for the things? What happened to those? Do people just want to get to the end and get the reward now?

It looks Solution Nine themed to me. But they often do this sort of thing. One time they just took the warewolf look from Yanxia and said maybe this warewolf can scare everyone.
