Its nothing to get paranoid about in my opinion. I actually like the fact that they want to preserve the primals awesome power with this method.

This is why I'm not worried.
For Grand Company summons. I'm confident that we'll have a few Primal deities,
Ifrit, Shiva, Leviathan, Garuda, Titan, and Ramuh.

Elder Primals:
Alexander, Odin, Bahamut

other summons:
Fenrir, Carby, Typhoon, Diabolos, Quezacotl, Belias, Cerberus, kjata etc etc
