Personally i'd rather completely new summons altogether before the the zodiac summons... they are just boring to me not enough definition between them.

I agree with the idea of keeping the current primals out of reach to keep from cheapening their place in the lore but i'm not sure about the idea it just sounds like an easy button at the very least it doesnt deserve priority if thats all it is.
Maybe they could add summons based on the guardian deities. I like the Zodiac ones though personally especially Adramelech for some reason:
