I was playing the 2.0 main story quest, and then the game automatically switched to the level 90 main story quest "A New World to Explore" after I purchased the DLC (Tales of Adventure: Endwalker).
Is any way to change the main story quest![]()

Hi,
Sorry, but that's right and how it should work. You called it DLC, but it's more like a story "jump":

It's done just that as "A New World to Explore" is the first quest of the Dawntrail expansion.Use this item to complete the main scenario of A Realm Reborn, Heavensward, Stormblood, Shadowbringers, and Endwalker.
This item will instantly complete all main scenario quests up through "The Coming Dawn," allowing players to immediately begin playing through the main scenario of the Dawntrail expansion.
Unfortunately this cannot be undone (or at least I've never heard of it being undone). You can view previous cutscenes in the innroom at the "Unending Journey" furniture item, but they're not always in perfect order and it won't have any smaller interactions so this may be a little confusing.
Sorry that I don't have better news!
Good morning! Thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.
Unfortunately as the previous user has mentioned, it appears that you may have purchased a 'Story Skip' item from the FINAL FANTASY XIV Online Store. Please note the FINAL FANTASY XIV Online Store only sells OPTIONAL items for the game and not licenses. If you would like to purchase licenses for FINAL FANTASY XIV please visit your preferred retailer, the SQUARE ENIX Online Store, and/or the Mog Station itself.
Once a 'Story Skip' has been used, the progress cannot be undone. If you would like to play the quests that were skipped over, you may try utilizing the 'New Game Plus' feature in-game.
We hope this information is helpful. Thank you once more for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums!
