    The issue with short-term content

    I can't understand how devs are so pushed to releasing content without giving a second thought on how we can extend this content longevity,

    Why we have content that is good until I got X then it will be dead content?

    aside from Gold saucer which is in my opinion best thing they did I can go back each time and farm something, lottery, mini games which is not part of battle content.

    Content like Eurerka and Bozja was such a waste, they were good at release until its dead with no reason to back there.

    Content like criterion dungeon it is just a tragedy, it was a waste even on release.

    Why not thinking of how we extend this game mode to next expansions and give people a reason to farm content?

    I have seen F2P games that utilize 1 game mode for more than 4 years and you can find people doing it now.

    it is like they designed the content for people who hates the game and return when there is something new for fomo.... but why? I don't think this is unintentional.

    Eureka and Bozja are far from dead. Both are actual pieces of evergreen content that people still run groups for today.

    There's a say in the Eureka community: "Eureka never dies".

    And that's still holding true. There are still daily runs of Baldesion Arsenal and Delubrum Reginae Savage and activity in both sets of overworlds. So, I would cross those off your list. One of the few reasons I'm holding out for something in DT is that there is a new Field Operation in the pipeline.

    at worst on patch release it's where it become"dead" but ya I do agree those two are hard to kill and probably will never die eureka and bozja are also the best midcore content you can have not go easy nor to hard but really challenging

    only live thanks to rmt, best places to farm gils so it's a paradise for bots

    What would keep you farming content past obtaining X? What do you think would keep others farming content past obtaining X?

    How many of those single content F2P games have the same players now as they had 4 years ago and how many of those players are driven by a new X being added to collect as opposed to enjoying the content?

    I don't think the game is being designed for people who hate it (no matter what impression the forums leave). It's being designed for players who like it but also like playing other games. Play until satisfied, then go play other games, then come back for new content.

    Is that such a terrible thing?

    While i agree that both aren't "dead" content, let's be honest, current peak traffic is not even a tenth of what was average back then.

    It shouldn't be the case at all since this is by far the most enjoyable and time resilient pve content casual player can do in this game.

    Dungeons, normal/alliance raids, extreme all of those get old after a handful of runs and you end up doing them mechanically every week without even realizing you don't have fun anymore, hell you don't even realize you're currently doing them sometime, that's how redundant and boring this content is.

    So why don't they incentivize older player to go there and allow newer player to have people to play with ? No idea.

    It's such a waste, even more when you think about how much casual people are craving for enjoyable content in that game, they could easily update those area by adding boss, fate and rewards and it would ask them a fraction of the work required to introduce a new dungeon.

    The lack of efficiency they show when it come to content delivery is just baffling to me, a little more than 4 months for 6 hours of more or less enjoyable content (depending on the quality of the msq which hasn't be that great since 6.1) and then back to your routine until the next update in 4 months, this is absolutely pathetic.

    It is a community effort to not kill old content but there is no systematic approach to it.. it is like ok we know SE consider this mood as dead but we want to give it another life.

    Which is great but it is a community effort no developer effort

    I wouldnt call Eureka or Bozja dead but at the same time I don't know why we need new content. Surely they could just expand on the existing and make each weapon the base of the new zone. That way it always breathes life into one area.

    Bozja and Eureka are not a waste at all. They have fulfilled and still fulfil their purpose to this day. While not as populated as on day one, they have plenty of people who engage with them daily. I went in the other day in Zadnoir, and there were lots of people farming it.
