Why would you put trove coins on Crystal tower?

Uh, CT isn't there to help sprouts progress MSQ, its there so sprouts have a chance to get tomes as well. Since its the only MSQ required alliance raid series; it makes sense to compile everyone together at the lowest and required raids so people can farm it without waiting for queues. If MSQ finally makes the Void Ark series a requirement to do for the story; they can start doing more events based around it. CT however, will always be top choice for these events because it reaches the most players.

Where do we draw the line for that though?
Instead of leading to dead stb raids or hw raids why not use this event as the trigger for new players to unlock those and actually help them with getting into it? Like I don‘t know, actually keeping other content alive?

If anyone refuses other raids then screw them. This is an MMO. Work for your rewards and unlock them.
If new players haven‘t unlocked anything besides crystal tower than make the ARR dungeons also give tomes.

They are so fixated on ARR for all events that they forgot that HW and Stb are also old content and man do those need help nowadays.

I just think there are other ways to get new players or keep old content alive instead of pushing the side of the scale down that is already touching the ground.

Well, its not even people being lazy, Voidmage. There is a lot of new players who join the game every day, and they too matter when it comes to events. Now I do agree that there should be more variety for seasoned players as well. Alexander and Crystal Tower raids can be for sprouts, and Pandemonium and The Myths of the Realms can be for level 90 players who are trying to work on leveling up alt jobs, or for those who took a big break in Endwalker and need a good catch up motivation.

I don't think even this is the case. Two mogtome events ago, it was CT. When I asked why, people used the same logic. "A set rotation." The next mogtome event was not CT. And now we have this one where it's CT again. If it is a rotation, then it's a very short cycle where CT is repeated every other rotation. Which brings us back to the OP's question of why it's done this way.

Most of the event is low leveled crap. It doesn't have to be a zero sum game, either. Just... have ct, but also have some other stuff for people who don't want to be downsynced to level 50 or 60. Easy fix.

Its honestly just speculation at this point. They may had an influx of new players entering the game, and maybe they are basing decisions on player traffic. Even though its consistent, the Crystal Tower raids are probably the safest choice the devs can make regarding player participation. As I stated above; it would be better if they had choices for both new and seasoned players in some regard. Though we all can say even with the latter choice on the menu; 80% of Alliance roulettes is gonna be one of the Crystal Tower raids. Its the easiest raids to access, unfortunately.
