Thread: Do male Viera get extra dialog in Rak'tika during MSQ?

Sadly no extra dialogue there. Definitely a missed opportunity.

I don't think they generally go back and add in optional dialogue based on newly added races or jobs.

They do get a small bit of extra dialogue from the finale quest for Anden's custom delivery chain.

It's too bad. I understand why they couldn't adjust Yugiri explaining why she hides her appearance to a Raen Au Ra (it's a voiced cutscene), but stuff like that is definitely weird.

My understanding is when fem Viera came out they went back to the SB AR and added a small change if you play Viera, no clue though as i have not seen it myself.

In anycase, thats a shame they didnt add anything.

No, extra flavor areas and dialog for races is exclusive to Lalafell as they're the dev's favorite race. We don't even get hats, we're not getting exclusive dialog.

Xaela Au Ra get a few extra bits of dialogue in the Azim Steppe. The main one I remember is, when talking to one vendor about buuz, she comments that surely your parents must have made it for you.

Miqo'te got an extra bit in the Monster Hunter quests (if you act surprised at a talking cat, the felyne calls you on it). Don't think they added Hrothgar to that, though.

Some races have different remarks in Elpis. Hythlodaeus will ask Emet-Selch if he gave a Lalafell enough mana, or a Roegadyn too much. Another researcher in a side quest will comment on your "beastly" aspects as a familiar if you're a Miqo'te (I'd assume Au Ra, Viera, and/or Hrothgar get similar comments, but I haven't gone through Elpis side quests again).

In Living Memory, when Cachiua mentions Shetona having long lifespans, a Viera gets an extra "as you know" added to the line.

There are probably a few more minor examples scattered around, but I can't recall them off the top of my head right now.

Sadly no, unless they updated it later; the conversation when you first meet Fran goes as if she's the only Viera in the room, and the Dramaturge still gives his lecture on Viera culture and talks about how nobody ever sees male Viera, oblivious to the one standing right in front of him.
