Is there a huge delay between purchasing game time and it being made active?

I purchased the full game with all expansions here on their platform in a separate process from the subscription. I would not be surprised if indeed their processes are stopping the actual purchase, if there is active "free" time left on the game. If the base game purchase does indeed come wih game time then this would not be the first game i have played that does delay any purchase of additional time, till your paid for time is either up, or very nearly there. It is just weird to see large corps sitting with the authority to take your money but dont.

I was just surprised to see the practice considring that companies ususally do not shy away from taking your funds for paid up front endeavours.

The only reason i am even asking is because now that money has to sit in the account till the month is over and i dont like that. Either take the money now or dont at all. I find it like a sword of damocles hanging over my head. It, the money, is gone, but it isnt.

I am trying hard not to get anything else on steam if i can help it, so i avoid that platform. I have my own personal reasons for that. Steam is a fine service, till the day it not longer is and you are locked out of it, for what ever reasons. Mine being a bootstrap error that dates back to 2011. That was 4 months of being locked out of paid for content.

So that was when i decided to seriously limit any purchases on a platform that could very easily take away your right to use the products you buy there. I tried everything to get it to work up to and including a full OS refresh. Nothing got rid of that client bootsrapr error till they released a version of steam that was either fixed or compatible with my hardware. Which was not out of the ordinary. AMD phenom 2 platform with a 6850 card.

Anyway. So the game was bought here and some people may think it was silly of me not to get the details of whether or not the full game purchase came with game time or not. They are right.

I think WoW, that terribly manipulative game, seems to be the only one i know of that does not come with any game time when your purchase the base game. They make you buy the base expansion game and additional game time. What predators they are. Sick. That is another story in itself. I hate wow now. Which is why i am here playing this game now. So far so good as far as the game is concerned.

Ive seen lots of similar threads now on delayed payments or SE taking their time with purchases. So i think they are delaying payment of mine till the game time that came with the full version is up.
