So recently Yoshida had an spot at Melbourne International games week and mentioned they're making content that will take time to complete, and to please "please not retire guys", here's the link if anyone is even interested at this point.

I mean I’m glad they figured out why this games population craters constantly (about damn time) but saying “please don’t retire it’s coming” is just so tone deaf considering we’ve been offering this feedback for years now. Like this isn’t a new problem that was caused by DT’s bad story, this was EW’s most common casual complaint as well

Yeah this. It's sad that it's got to the point where the players have to be skeptical about what the devs say, but this happens for a reason. For now I'll believe it when I see it.

You just didn't read the article which this thread was about, but they are talking about making content that takes time to COMPLETE, it's not about them taking time to make the content, the whole thing was how they calculate how long lasting content takes, and are clearly making their calculations with people that log in for a few hours a day in mind and not the people that can finish the content in a few weeks at best and are left hungry for more content.

It is interesting that last section of him saying "Don't retire." How bout giving reasons to redo the criterion savages from EW? I still find it utterly baffling how they ever thought those first set of rewards in Rokkan and Sidah were ever going to make the community engage with it.
