This is really the answer. Extending content releases 1 to 2 additional months but charging us the same seems like a bad deal.

I'm sympathetic that the devs are spread thin, working on other projects, or don't want to crunch for whatever. But in return I should not be spending the same for less.

I have no idea how the content we get in a .1 patch is going to keep my interest for 4 to 5 months.

Same here, the only reason I'm playing currently is because a friend gifted me 2 months of sub time, once that runs out I don't think I'll be sticking around for 7.1+, there is far too little content for patch cycles these days.
