One of the best ways to drain people's energy nowadays is via the internet. - Colin Robinson
Lol exactly. I posted this on a different thread but I'll post this here too.ikr. why i think most of NA labeled as "congested" is fking BS at this point. unless we see numbers from SE side, i don't believe for a minute its as congested as they claim. for a game that we pay for every 2 yrs on top of a sub for so much of a single region alone to be locked off while EU/JP don't have the same restrictions for this long a period ((going on 4 months here in october)). why there isn't more of an outcry on this baffles but but guess the 14 community will continue to eat whatever sh*t they give us. can't even play with friends without jumping throguh hoops to do so here on NA
Gotta cling to that artificial popularity and hype by falsely claiming the servers are congested, because it looks better to the stakeholders. SE can tell their investors: "just look, the game is crowded and alive with activity!" when in reality that's not quite the case. That's not to say the game is dying or anything, but servers definitely aren't running anywhere near capacity.
The Legends of the Titanmen lives on, a shining example of the power of compassion and the ability of people to make a difference in the world. A reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope, as long as there are heroes like the Titanmen who dare to do good deeds in Eorzea.
I'm curious to see where they go from here given that we're still in the beginning of Dawntrail
It seems like there are plans for an 8.0 at least

Go to any Limsa on aether and count the afk traveller's.
Maybe we should start kicking people back to their own dcs when they aren't actually playing the game. It makes it harder for people who want to do stuff to use it.
Honestly, I can see where the feeling comes from.
Never have I felt so tired after a major expansion. And the next big update doesn't bring much content with it that will keep me entertained until 7.2, tbh..
The game feels...kinda sad right now. If you don't have a house or belong to the crowd who only play for RP or 'clubbing'...there isn't much to log on for anymore.
We gotta see how things will evolve, but right now, things look kinda bleak. They have to step up their game or people will be more and more dissatisfied.
Me too, Erenville, me too
I guess we just gotta hope Cosmic Exploration and Chaotic Alliance Raids can at least fill the void long enough. CBU3 has a ton of potential in those two so its a matter of time to see whether or not they use them to their fullest.Honestly, I can see where the feeling comes from.

The game's doing fine, beyond some manageable hiccups.
I took YoshiP's advice and I've been playing other games as caring for FFXIV and seeing a game I loved fall down into mediocrity very energy draining. To put so much of my time and money into this game for it to be in the state it's in. I'm logging in once a week at the moment for my Savage reclears and that's it. I'm completely caught up with all battle content outside of Ultimates as there was nothing to do that was a big grind in EW, the relic weapon was a Tome exchange and there was no Exploration Zone.I feel like the game (Devs, writers, etc..) has painted itself into a corner. Maybe it's time to focus on the next MMO and start over. This one isn't fun anymore and I don't know how we can recover from it. They whole formula that it was built upon is stagnant. The game shouldn't drop to a lull in things to do and play time just in a few months after the release of a major expansion.. the brand is suffering.
It just makes the game feel so empty that there's no current big content to do and the way the gearing system is, you can't even grind for gear once you've got savage bis you're done for two years. Now the game just seems to be getting even worse and the milking of the monetisation/ cash shops is really grating but that's a whole other thing.
I just can't understand how SE/ C3U allowed this to happen from the high heights and player base numbers during the end of Shadowbringers to Endwalker where the game was the most popular and most played MMO in the world to now where there's this entire feeling of the game on it's last legs throughout a lot of the remaining player base. They dropped the ball big time in what I can only see a decision they took not to make the game the best it could be for Dawntrail but simply push out MVP.
Personally, I'm still doing content after playing since ARR so I can't really relate to this, but I can understand it not being enough if you restrict yourself to not completing certain things.
It is a patch lull. Obviously the congested status changes during patches or for strategic reasons (such as to push people over to Dynamis and balance it out).
As far as Lucky Bancho's numbers go, those are based over multiple months (so could capture activity from an earlier month) but are also typically taken during patch lulls or before patches to capture the lowest numbers, to give a better sense of the baseline rather than the patch spikes.
Translation: "I don't enjoy the game anymore so they should just shut it down."
