Problems with solo questing?

Am I doing something wrong?I mean,I am level 27 and I can't seem to handle level 30 quests...Taking on 3 level 30 mobs at the same time who are trashing me all around is kinda frustrating.I can do only one of the level 30 quests where there are no more than 2 mobs at a time,but most of the quest are impossible for me to do.

I never do leves higher than 2 levels above me. At your level, I usually do the lv29 ones (Camp horizon 4 stars by instance).
EXP will be good enough and you can switch to lv30 nes once you hit 28.

It can be difficult to do things much higher level than you without some cross-class skills. Cure, Sentinel/Rampart, Stoneskin, Protect, Featherfoot/Foresight, Second Wind are all excellent skills to equip, but since LNC is among the first of your classes, it's going to understandably difficult.

Your supposed to fight on level in this game. That's why you get chains when you do. If you try to do a level that is 3 levels over you, you will just be taking so long that you could have completed two or three in the same amount of time and recived the bonus xp for speed.

Honestly, you should do the tier closest to your level even if your 27 you should do level 26. The bonus XP at the end of the leve will level you faster than the enemies inside the leve. Unless you are low on leves of course.

It should be noted that if you are an old player coming back, they changed the mechanics, so you need to do leves with a level or so of your current level. Back in the day, doing leves 5~8 levels above (or more, depending on the job) you was feasible.

Also, again if you are a returning player, Check to make sure you have allocated your stat points too. Unfortunately we are a tad squishy when we are getting zerged by 3 mobs so if you have to do it, just make sure you focus on one at a time and spam your WS's on it and run away to recover, rinse and repeat.

But just like the others have said focus on doing lower lvl Leve's but bump them up to ~4 stars and you should be able to handle them and finish them much faster^^ Hope this helps and enjoy/good luck!

I tend to never go over one tier in difficulty over my level when doing leves. Ex. If I'm level 31, I do 2 stars difficulty (level 33) until I hit 34, then change to the next star. This has worked pretty well for me, and allows you to get xp chains.
