You people aren't listening. They aren't targeting the FFXIV servers. They are targeting the nodes.

It's like a traffic jam stopping you from getting to the movies, not the cinema cancelling the showing.

nodes nor servers it affect the games still sadly that's also the other point I wouldn't be paying a monthly sub I wouldn't care much but I do so I care you also have to understand that and I mostly rant too.

It is a problem, but you're complaining to the wrong people. Just like the cinema can't do anything about traffic, Square Enix can't do anything about American internet service providers.

From what I understand, it's a Spectrum node, right? Probably them.

it isn't tho sadly because if my internet provider would be attacked I wouldn't even be able to relog in at all nor playing anything else to and nothing die at all other then 14 so it's server wise so stop saying it's ony end it isn't at all or everyone else ends

If it was server-wise, *everyone* would be forced out of the world you're on, and that's not happening. People have literally tracked where this attack occurs, and it's not on Square Enix's end. Please, if you're going to complain about this, research what is actually happening here, so that your complaints go to the correct party.

SE can't fix the DDoS attacks directly because they aren't targeting their data center, which is in Sacramento CA. The DDoS has consistently targeted the large business ISP NTT, usually the San Jose node, but also previously a node in Arizona.

What SE *can* do, and what I'm hoping they're doing in this case, is adding in a second backup ISP that they can switch over to when NTT is getting ass blasted. It's pretty much the only mitigation strategy that will work.
