Can we get rid of these ugly rocks in LB?

Why are LB plots surrounded by these hideous rocks? Please remove them, I want to see the waterfall from the ground level of my yard. The waterfall is so beautiful when you can properly see it. These ugly rocks affect all the other plots too. If they were covered in greenery like moss and some weeds, it would be more tolerable but I prefer if they were entirely removed, they serve no purpose but make yards look ugly and block the view of the otherwise beautiful Black Shroud around your home.

Those aren't rocks, they're tree bark. A great number of LB plots are built upon giant stumps and these are attached to those. I don't think they're going anywhere, they're natural extensions of the stumps we live on and I think they're lovely.

Really? They look like stone to me or maybe petrified wood, I went around the Black Shroud and the same types of tree stumps found have greenery on them like moss and such, they should at least add those to the LB or give us the option to remove them entirely so that those that like them like you can use them.

Tis wood aye, at certain spots in Lavender Beds you can see they make a clear distinction in looks between wood and rock. Such as this spot behind the cottage plot 4/34. The fence above it and the big tree Senna's Pride also share this same texture.


But yeah I do agree they could have gone better way about distinguishing such as those pictures you took in Shroud it as I always see most people call it rock. Maybe they could have added some branches on it or roots sticking out.

While that is a bit annoying, I still think it's funny that the devs decided to have a mansion in LB facing the away from the rest of the area, which means that even when you are standing on the edge of the map and fully zoomed out, you cannot see the entire front of your house. Or in Shirogane how they have beach side homes, but not a single one faces the beach.

Let's face it, the FFXIV city planner went to the same school that taught Hiroi how to write.

So basically, it's okay to gripe about Square Enix's choices for the housing landscape, but not player choices. At least Square Enix isn't floating them above houses in a way that's intentionally obnoxious to the neighborhood.

I do like the privacy it gives me and it also faces the beautiful waterfall that are sadly mostly blocked by the ancient PS3 era textures that look ugly.

So basically, it's okay to gripe about Square Enix's choices for the housing landscape, but not player choices. At least Square Enix isn't floating them above houses in a way that's intentionally obnoxious to the neighborhood.

You should read a few post up where I suggested they give you the option to remove them for those that want to keep them :/

I agree that they aren't the most peasant thing to look at, but they are intended to be tree bark, and at least look like a natural part of the landscape. The blocking of the waterfall should probably be the primary thing on your list of complaints here, and not the tree bark. How long ago was LB housing established? Probably hasn't even occurred to Square Enix to go back and look at it.

Oh you mean the people that were this obnoxious to begin with? Sorry but that's not self-expression. That is excessive attention seeking and a perfect example of why I suggested what you were asking about. Yeah, I don't see Square Enix going that far with the tree bark. And I'm not the one that tried to cuck someone out of being able to party finder for raid over a few words that were exchanged.



Funny how they do that to seek attention and then get all defensive and heinous the moment they find out the attention it brings is not the kind they were seeking.
