I really despise calling them beast tribes, but I was fine calling them just "tribes" since that still fit.

Allies is the best and most simple solution.
I'm good with Societies, or Allied Societies.
I appreciate ending the pairing of "beast" and "tribes." It's a relatively small thing, but small things add up.

Beast Tribes made a bit more sense in FFXI and FFXIV ARR - Stormblood. Once we got to Shadowbringers it is hard to call the Faeries a "tribe" when they are so numerous and literally have an entire region to themselves that they claim. And the Loporitz are too advanced to really be a beast tribe, though the elephant people certainly qualify to an extent.
Beast Tribes worked well for ARR, HW and SB ones, at least until you reached the end of ShB's MSQ... At which point it was kinda just changed to just Tribes, even for people who weren't there yet...
ShB is kind of where they stopped being "Tribes" that you dealt with... I never got around to do the ShB gathering ones, but the Dwarves and Pixies are hardly a society or a tribe...
And the EW ones, we got a gang ofbikersHippo Riders and alien races.
"Society" doesn't really fit any of them.

Everyone still calls them beast tribes in every conversation and within communities Ive seen in game.
They can rename them into "Clown car dailies" but people will still call them "BEAST TRIBES"
Beast tribes, simple as

Its like changing a long used term like MSQ into Main narrative fairytale and then back up and change it into prioritized advancement narrative and expecting the community to just suddenly be like. "YEAH!"
Its clunky, rolls off the tongue worse and is a sudden change that begs the question "Who asked for this"
The least they couldve done is made it more precise and snappy. Like "Allied quests"
Beast tribes, simple as

Nobody asked for it; they did it because the factions eventually ceased to be beasts and and ceased to be tribal. Nobody cares if the community still colloquially calls them "beast tribes."
