I agree with this completely. Which is why I think its absolutely moronic that they wait until halfway through the expansion to release the field operations and relic weapon grind. Deep Dungeons could have been great too, but all they do is rehash the same basic system and are seemingly incapable of improving it. I wanted to like variant dungeons, but after the third or fourth time I'd start falling asleep, when it had the potential to be interesting, if they used WoW's mystic system or added different conditions each week... something, anything.
